I'm not entirely sure who chased the fight, or who requested the rematch tbh. But both fighters as champions have the right to request it, and equally both have the right to refuse. It then comes down to the negotiations and ultimately who wants what the most, until agreement can be reached. That's the tricky part as so many fights don't get made. But ultimately if your not happy, you don't sign for it. If you do sign for the fight and your not happy about the deal, you can't very well complain after the fact. I just went on the premise of Loma not wanting it as I was under the impression that Loma was the one who didn't want it. It seems widely reported that way. But if I'm inaccurate on that then I stand corrected.

I'm so tired of people blaming Haney for lack of opposition! Clearly, FOR WHATEVER REASON, Haney is being avoided, frozen out, etc.! He put himself on the path to fight Loma! It's not his fault that Loma chose Teofimo Lopez instead! Loma, as WBC #1, could've had that fight NOW! It's not Haney's fault Loma chose Commey! Commey could've had that fight NOW! It's not Haney's fault Commey chose Loma (without a title) instead of Haney (The WBC Champ)! Tank could've fought Haney NOW! It's not Haney's fault Tank chose Issac Cruz-Gonzalez! It's not Haney's fault that Ryan Garcia would rather fight Jo Jo Diaz! I'm not a big Haney fan, but I can clearly see that he's being avoided! Let's see what Kambosos does!
This is 5 mil statement is nonsense. Haney was chasing the fight. You dont denand when its you who wants it. You have to make the offer. And they made no offers as interest was rebuffed by Arum. Arum made it obvious he doesn't want Haney for Loma. His ' that's a great fight. We can make that when Haney leaves Matchroom' comment kinda gave it away. But we already knew this when they requested franchise to avoid Haney already.

Yeah they do. But in these cases, it's Haney chasing the fight. With Lopez he said I want 10 mil, that's correct. But with Loma, they're implying that Haney is demanding 5 mil. Therefore that also implies that it is Loma that was chasing the fight. That's nonsense. It is Haney that has been chasing the fight. Therefore you don't demand. You offer.Comment

100% spot on buddy. I'm hopeful Kambosos will fight Haney. I think Haney and Loma are the only 2 realistic fights. Gervonta will be steered clear and I just don't see any reason why you would even consider Garcia at this point. But it all depends on what Ferocious wants at the end of the day.I'm so tired of people blaming Haney for lack of opposition! Clearly, FOR WHATEVER REASON, Haney is being avoided, frozen out, etc.! Loma had plenty of time to fight both.
Styles make fights. Teo has more power. He isn’t a better all around boxer than Haney.
People aren’t criticizing Loma for his comp. They are criticizing him for dropping a belt rather than defend it. How is that not fair criticism?Comment

I'm not so sure about Tank! I think there's still a chance that Davis gets the fight...if the WBA orders the fight, and it goes to purse bid! What I don't see happening, is Tank going to Australia!

You are looking at this from a perspective of "what's good for boxing" and for fan's viewing pleasure I can understand that. But from a perspective of Loma's career, Arum did Loma dirty by not including the rematch clause. Eddie would have never allowed that and rightly so. Things happen in boxing, you have to protect the champion. Arum didn't and probably because he made a bet on Teo (not literal bet, but in terms of future career, Loma is 33 at the end of the day, Lopez is 10 years younger). It was a travesty from Arum, IMO.I have to disagree here. Sometimes rematch clauses will allow other bouts to take place, such as an interim title fight, before the rematch is executed. This third party challenger would then have to be bound to fight the original boxer entitled to the rematch should the challenger win. This would be a very similar situation where Kambosos would be the challenger, someone fighting the winner before the rematch could take place. And in this instance, should Kambosos actually choose to fight Lomachenko, then it really is a case of there being two ways up a mountain.
I think things could be far worse, considering. Things look very good for Loma now that Lopez lost. I don't see this as something to view negatively. Had he had the belts, who would he have fought anyway? He would have fought Kambosos.
Lets face it: Loma is never going to fight Davis. And he beat Lopez the first time, he would have never been able to secure a fight with Davis. Garcia would still have had his mental breakdown. Haney would still be saying one thing and then doing another, such as pricing himself out.
I don't see there being too much difference in the outcome of things, rematch clause or not.Comment

No he definitely won't go. If it's ordered by the WBA it gets interesting. Personally I don't think they will though as technically Davis should be ordered to fight Romero first if they are to stay consistent. But when do they ever lol. But if Davis, Kambosos is ordered and Kambosos stands his ground on Australia, then it's going to purse bid. And you can bet your last coin on Matchroom trying to nick it away from Mayweather. If Hearn wins, Davis will be pulled out. There's a snowball's chance in hell of them letting him fight on one of Eddie's shows lol.Comment

Well, since it looks like Haney is ducking by pricing himself out and Teo's moving up to 140, I think the best scenario would be for Kambo to fight Loma (Kambo will fight anyone) and Tank fight Haney. And then the winners can fight each other for all the 135 gold.Comment

When u have the resume Loma has - giving GRJ, Walters, and Rigo their 1st loss, and fighting top level competition throughout his career, how do u criticize him for taking the tougher fight against Lopez? No boxing writers, commentators, insiders, former fighters criticize him for that or anything else. Loma obviously is pursuing greatness - not looking to hold a belt and defend it.
