He had his flaws, but so do the rest of the current lightweights. This pool of lightweights are more so exciting because they're vulnerable. They're not exciting because they're all a bunch of monsters or anything

I could see Edwin punching out some of these current fighters. He was pretty mean in the ring. Some of these current folks fight too pretty at times

We wouldn’t find out because if he were here today as a lw, he still couldn’t get fights with Garcia, tank , Lopez or loma.

I don’t see many of these young lightweights hanging with Valero. Edwin was a killer. These kids are just talkers.

Valero vs Tank would be epic.

The only guy I’d confidently pick to beat him is Loma.

All of them fought and beaten fighters that Valero would never see in his resume. All he beat were Mexican taxi and taco truck drivers. Heard he even got knocked down by one of them bums too.

I don't rate these new lightweights, as they are hype. But they are far more proven than Valero.

Edwin Valero had the stamina, fortitude and endurance of Kambosos. He had the punching power of Tank Davis. He had the will to win like Loma. And he fought like Rocky Marciano, meaning that every punch was designed to break you; he'd punch you everywhere, arms, shoulders, anywhere to break you down.

He was also out of his mind, possibly having some level of brain damage, which might have given him that psychopathic edge.

You can decide with these qualities in mind.

Ultimately Valero never beat anyone close to as good as the top guys in the division now, so it's hard to say. He messed things up for himself and does not deserve to be rated or remembered. Nash out.

Who have Haney or Garcia beat better than DeMarco?

Valero isn’t a guy you can judge by resume anyway, his career was cat way short because he was a complete psychopath.
