Whatever you AJ fans have to tell yourselves lol. Fury has a number of fights vs top opposition. No one sh.its on Ali for 3 fights vs Frazier or Norton. You don't purely go by opponent.
If you face a guy a number of times, you credit all of those fights.
Why is that important? Because some guys will go 1-1 even against some like Rahman. Going 2-0-1 against Wilder is extremely impressive.
Ask AJ, he would know. He would be lucky to get 1 win in those 3 fights.
The fact the third fight was enjoyable doesn't change the fact that we didn't need it. Fury was a huge favourite and even he didn't think it was a worthwhile fight. Fury could have fought Wilder 10 times without losing. Would it keep on being more and more impressive?
Wilder was never fighting AJ. Remember, he took on Fury's name when Fury looked gone. His career was built on not fighting anyone prime. That's how he got there and stayed there.

Take away the belts and he had a resume that looked like he was a fringe contender.
If AJ 'proved' he was top level, Wilder certainly did.

Not sure if AJ would beat Ortiz twice. And he certainly took a lot longer to beat Breazeale. And he got KOed the second he stepped out of his comfort zone even a little bit, by a little fat boy.

AJ fought top 10 fighters. He unified. He beat Wlad, Povetkin, Ruiz, Parker, Whyte, Pulev. Not just guys he chose, but people who he had to fight to defend his belts.
You don't mention Breazeale when talking about Joshua. You certainly do when talking about Wilder. It's in his top victories.
Wilder beat a guy that was developed specifically for him (Ortiz). Then tried to avenge a loss when he stepped out of his comfort zone, failed and probably won't be seen again.
No comparison. Mind you, it wasn't me making the comparison in the first place. I was talking about Wilder's resume not being proven at the top level. Joshua's career is a completely different discussion.
