That's exactly why I made this post about Floyd not shutting up.
He brought up Canelo's name when he wasn't even asked about Canelo.

        Facts.
I think one of the things that ticked Floyd off into his rant on Canelo is when the whole Gervonta wanting to wear NO BOXING NO LIFE gloves

Floyd hates the fact he’s no longer the face of boxing. It’s the same reason guys like ODLH and Tyson criticised Floyd in the past. These guys have massive ego’s and struggle to accept that their time has passed.

I think you hit the nail on the head man.
I think that's what it is man.
Even though Floyd himself said he isn't jealous of Canelo, but his mannerisms on talking about Canelo show his ego is too huge.
Facts are facts, Canelo is a Boxing superstar and overshadows Tank and many other fighters out there whether Floyd, or anyone for that matter, like it or not.

He does have a huge ego but what you said made no sense, he hates that he isn't the face of boxing?

Then why did he retire? He would have been favored vs Thurman, or Bradley. The top 147 guys were stilling climbing the ranks or not in the division yet.

Hell he could have kept doing exhibitions vs MMA/Boxing guys and steal the spotlight.

I think he loves to talk about himself but I don't think he cares about being the face of boxing, I think he is enjoying easy money and not doing training camps

He was answering a question and then brought up how he beat Canelo as part of that answer.

This is then viewed as he brought up canelo out of the blue.

                    Ok.

His job is to bring attention to the fight. If he does that by making news this way is this really that big a deal?

I mean, Floyd did say that he doesn't miss a thing about Boxing.

I still do tend to think Floyd ego is super huge and that he is jealous imho.
