Yeah all those punches that were landing on Davis, I was just imagining those.
The showtime crew which has millions invested in him had like a +-5 punch land differential, I guess were all seeing things.

What happened tonight however, was no robbery. Tank won a close fight. Nothing to do with race. Ring generalship matters when you avoid more damage than you dish, defense is its own reward in that it is easier to beat someone whose landing very little on you.
Unfortunately, Davis was getting hit more, than he was dishing out and if thats the case, I dont think youre doing it right.

Cruz would have needed a firefight in order to win this fight but Davis wouldn't give him one because his movement kept most of the action in the center of the ring. For the most part he stayed off the ropes. I admit It was not a very impressive performance by Davis but a scorecard of at least 115-113 for Davis or even a Draw is very reasonable.

You dont win rounds by simply avoiding being cornered. Firefight wasnt needed, he simply needed to do bigger, better work.
In the first 2 rounds and the back half, he did that, landing more damage, the better shots, and was the guy that actually hurt the other. I’ll take that over the more sporadic work from Davis, a lot of which was on the gloves.
Not saying it wasnt close, ring generalship is the cause of the victory when used properly, not asking why Davis was getting hit so much at the end of the fight.

Yep I agree close fight but Cruz needed that extra gear. He needs to learn how to fight on the inside as well, with his style he's going to have to get a lil more dirty on the inside not in a fouling type manner but just more roughhousing ..

Most times I seen Black boxers robbed was by GBP not PBC Mike Dallas comes to mind that time he got robed in LA but once again I'm not all into the race thing. Most of these fights you spoke on were just close fights, not robberies..Last I checked Canelo is working with Haymon now..
