Pitbull edged it by a round. Should be a draw at worst. Straight robbery courtesy of Mayweather Promotions.

The issue here is that this was a step up fight for Davis. Cruz was the highest ranked opponent Davis ever faced and he struggled badly, despite Cruz himself having few notable accomplishments and already a loss and a draw on his own record.
Kambosos fought three straight step up fights and looked better each time. I had literally never heard of his first 17 opponents in my life and I watch nearly every televised and streamed card. But then he traveled to the US and beat American former IBF lightweight champion Mickey Bey, 22-1-1-1 at the time, (coming off a win in a tuneup after a layoff; previously lost in a split decision title fight with Rances Barthelemy). And then he traveled to the UK and beat British former IBF featherweight champion Lee Selby, 26-2 at the time, (coming off a win over Ricky Burns) in an eliminator, another step up. And then he goes back to the US and beats American reigning lineal and unified lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez, 16-0 at the time (coming off wins over Lomachenko and Commey) in another big step up.
Three straight fights Kambosos fought the best guy he'd ever been in the ring with, each of them a big step up over the previous one. And three straight fights Kambosos fought the very best fight of his life. He's getting better as he steps up.
Teofimo Lopez also faced his best ever opponent against Commey and knocked him out. Then he stepped up again and faced his best ever opponent in Lomachenko and got the very clear decision. He had a letdown against Kambosos but he'd already stepped up and proven himself against the best.
Tank faced the best guy he ever fought, probably deserved a draw, and immediately said no rematch and started making excuses.Last edited by famicommander; 12-06-2021, 02:28 AM.Comment

lol - like your signature - what are we all doing here LMAOCruz is a solid fighter, he will have success at 135.
Tank is one of the most gifted fighters in boxing; it’s indisputable and has only become more pronounced. He’s one of the most frustrating. I’m going to give him credit for coming through with an injured back hand, but his obliviousness as to who’s winning the round is going to lose him fights at the elite level.Comment
