I always find it intersting when “fans” use fighters legal troubles as an excuse to hate him. Connor McGregor is constantly in legal trouble and it hasn’t at all effected his brand….if he fought an American boxer next week the majority of Americans would cheer for him against the American as they did when he fought Mayweather. I don’t recall Kovalev getting hate based on his legal troubles either…for that matter neither did Spadafora or Pavlik. We know what time it is.

Well you said it, that’s what it’s really about. It’s race based clearly. People truly hate al Haymon for succeeding and continuing to be successful. Just look at the terminology used when a pbc fight card happens….immediately you start seeing coded language about ticket sales, popularity, questioning competition of the black fighters, calling black fighters boring, saying pbc is only for black fighters when many of its fighters are of other ethnicities and nationalities etc etc. You NEVER see this attack on fight cards when they are on dazn and not even ESPN….it’s reserved specifically for Pbc. I don’t believe in a lot of **** that ‘money’ Mayweather believes in, mainly because I’m not a capitalist, but what I do know is that his becoming a billionaire had everything to do with him knowing how to box, how to sell his fights, what sort of persona to portray, and absolutely NOT because the media are so kindly and anti-racist that they simply gifted him riches that he actually had to earn himself.
