  • Wow I didn't see that coming, I'd never even heard of Haney

Why do you dislike him? Honestly, I'm surprised that he's growing on me because I'm partial to punchers.
I have not liked him since he became WBC e-mail champion.

He somehow “earned” a WBC title shot, not sure how, and tried to get the Lomachenko fight, acting entitled. Acting like he is actually supposed to fight Lomachenko over anyone else. He deserved the shot at the WBC title even over the then IBF champion Teofimo Lopez, who got the Lomachenko shot by beating Nakatani and IBF champion Commey.

Which is I also hate all 4 ABC titles and their crap rankings.

As a promoter, you can basically “buy” your fighter a ranking. You can buy your fighter a title shot.

So that’s why I don’t like Devin Haney. He somehow “deserved” a shot at the WBC champion, out of nowhere. And won it by beating no one of note.

If he wasn’t a “champion” I would not care. I just hate seeing fighters get title shots out of nowhere. Canelo vs Matthew Hatton, Pacquiao vs Margarito, GGG vs Milton Nuñez, etc. All these phony title matches.

It makes me want 1 title per weight class to come back, even though I was not around at that time. It sounds a lot better than what we see today. And imagine fighters earning title shots by actually earning by beating big name fighters.

      Today, this is boxing:

Get/Win a title shot first, then fight the tough fighters.

      It used to be:

Beat the the tough fighters first, then get a title shot.

He got the win but didn’t really impress.
What do you think Haney will be like @ 140? Remember, he just made 23 last month!

It sounds like you're fed up with the politics of boxing, rather than the fighter himself. I agree that Teo deserved a shot at Loma before Haney, and that's exactly how things played out. Haney continued working and has remained relevant in the division. Kambosos is now in possession of the belts, and he has three options: Haney, Loma/Commey, Davis/Cruz.

Shakur can move up and beat him.

Kambosos could beat him to be honest.

Only guy I see him beating is Garcia and even that’s a maybe.
Why you guys not bringing up Loma at 135? He is more worth than Garcia tbh and I might favor Loma over Kambi and Haney.
