Devin Haney needs to make a statement vs JoJo

Haney recent fight's have been awful to watch. I don't care what anyone says about his boxing. When your getting Booed by the crowd that was there to support you, something is wrong.

Lopez was humbled by his behavior. Haney's behavior is almost identical to Lopez's. I get talking trash during a fight tour, but people are tired of this guy running his mouth every single time he appears in front of the camera similar to Lopez.

I am 50/50 on this fight. Haney needs a performance, not just another tip tap toe decision.

      I agree, he really does.

Haney already stunk up the joint in his last three fights, if he doesn't make a statement against Jojo, then he really shouldn't be on featured main events anymore.

He doesn't need to KO anyone, but he needs a dominant performance that shows he's a top talent, not just a guy with belt who wins boring decisions.

Shakur really stepped up against Herring after getting criticized, we'll see if Haney does the same.

He needs a knockout. Period. My biggest issue with Haney isnt his mouth. it's that he talks so much, but in the ring puts you to sleep. When Floyd was younger, he talked and then put fighters to sleep or beat them viciously.

Haney talks nonstop with the mutated rat Hearn, but never delivers in the ring. I think when he got clocked by Linares, that changed him. He doesn't wanna risk it anymore.

Regardless of Lopez's loss, he beat Lomachenko. Haney hasn't ever been in a 50/50 fight.

He got the WBC belt via email TWICE!. He got injured, stripped then reinstated via email.

He has a lot to prove.

Even ESPN stated that Haney's belt is fake. it was initially meant to be Fortuna vs Campbell for the WBC belt. Haney complained and got reinstated.

Kellerman stated his belt is fake.

I thought the Linares was relatively entertaining. Things spiraled out of control when he got hurt and had to start clinching for dear life, but the match was mostly watchable.

I feel like Haney talks trash because his contemporaries do. It feels mostly reactive because he's constantly being clowned as the "email champion" who lacks a good resume, so he defends himself by getting into back-and-forths with Tank/Teo/Garcia. I think he just reciprocates the negative energy he's receiving.

            His belt is fake.

            That’s not debatable.

Haney has the size advantage with insane boxing skills but no pop and a shaky chin, if he tries to go for broke he’ll give Jojo the only chance he has at winning. I’m all for it as I’d love another upset but it’s not advisable from a strategy’s perspective. Haney just isn’t THAT guy.

he doesn't need to make a statement, he just needs to win. He'll never be a fan favorite with his style. Going out there looking for a KO will get him ****ed up considering that he has no power.

you're leaving out that Lomachenko didn't want to fight him. And neither did Teo, Tank, or Garcia. And before any of you brainless idiots claim I'm a Haney fan because I'm defending him, I'm not a fan of anyone at 135 at the moment. I'm just calling the situation like I see it. Regardless of what ESPN(Arum's network) says, the WBC and the Ring didn't have Teo as the WBC champ. Yeah it's all bs, but Lomachenko is to blame for this nonsense. Had he just fought Haney and beat him, or lost, this wouldn't be an issue.

I don’t think Haney needs to do anything but win. Of course once he does I expect he will be avoided again.
