Teofimo Lopez Sr is having a mental breakdown

Never seen such delusion before. He did a interview with radio Raheem.

    - Says to him his son won every round but could see a case of 10-2 because of the KD which was a slip according to him.
    - Says everybody knows his son won the fight(kept repeating this throughout the interview).
    - Doesn't want the rematch and wants to move on to 140 for as possible Taylor fight.
    - Claims everyone boo'd the decision when it was Lopez getting boo'd when he said he won the fight.
    - Talks about how after each round he was telling his son how he was doing great and winning the rounds lol.
    - Says going on the DAZN was a mistake and they should of stayed with Top Rank which he says his next fights gonna be ppv on espn.
    - Radio Raheem i the end of the interview try's to say something nice about Lopez like everyone ringside saw your son put in effort and gets cut off with Lopez snr saying their was no effort his son won every round
    - Says theirs no way in the point system Kambosos won any round..
    - Says they don't have to perfect nothing(change anything) he just been at 135 too long.

The father is deplorable. It's one thing to be an ass but he was completely inept with his work in between rounds. Gave no real tactical instruction and would offer contradictory guidance like to slow down then tell Teo to get the fight over with and knock Kambosos out.

The irony is that I think a very small but very obvious adjustment could have been made to change the balance of the fight. Use the jab. Come in behind the jab. I could be wrong but I don't really remember the old man emphasizing that.

Thanks for bringing that up. The cutman didn't look like he knew what he was doing, I think part of the problem is that the father didn't want to get out of the way for the cutman to do his work. Pure amateur hour from the corner.

seeing Kenny Porter and now this clown the last couple of weeks...maybe the WBC was on to something when they was considering banning Fathers as trainers

this guy acts like a meth addict though, a loud attention whore and just absolutely NO CLASS who is trying to be like Angel Garcia

Yeah that was completely sad to watch. That video should be studied in psychology courses looking into the deep dive of humans coping with grief through means of delusion.

This guy does nothing more than gravy train off his sons talent. He sucks as a trainer and he probably sucks as a father also. His time will run out and the kid will dump him and move on to a real professional trainer. Hopefully before it's too late

Sadly I don’t see it happening. Teo seems loyal to a fault and Sr is too egocentric to allow it to happen and seems to have a stronghold on his sons life. Best we can hope for is that they bring in a good co trainer and Sr slowly gets weeded out to the sidelines. Not sure what reputable coach would want to work closely with that wild narcissist though.
