It’s nuts how blind people are by hate. Tank is one of the slickest and most fundamental fighters out there. He will make Kambosos look like an amateur and Loma stops Kam in 6

I mean I get why you say that but I don’t think he’s overhyped in the sense of the boxing world. Arum didn’t want him to fight Loma but they forced his hand and took pay cuts. Teo earned and talked his way to that Loma fight and he won. Period. With that said, there’s a method to the madness of boxing promotion…you have to move fighters slowly and carefully. Promotion is about psychology and chess….the fighters mindset is about confidence because that’s the foundation of any fighter who dares to be great. But it’s about making the right decisions. Teo took this fight after all the delays because he was down to a couple dozen grand and the money overshadowed reality.

The reality is that Teo was outgrowing the division, beat Loma because styles make fights, and his actual life is falling apart. But he should’ve improved after Loma. Both defensively and intellectually. Tonight he showed regression…his corner had nothing for him as far as calming him down and making adjustments.

You can see why fighters like that need the brakes pumped for them and some perspective.

lopez did not take a pay cut for loma. actually the fight was close to falling apart before the purse was increased for lopez. i dont think he was very confident but money talks, loma for some reason didnt throw punches for 6 rounds and that was that, but yeah right place right time. he always seemed to lack confidence and loma for some reason seemed to overthink himself into a coma. very weird result but now loma can fight kamobosos and people can triangle things

Yikes! Sounds like he has a bigger fight on his hands. But yeah, if you can't compartmentalize as a boxer or any other professional athlete for that matter, things will be much harder for you. Your sport needs to be your sanctuary in those cases.
