I'm a fan of kambosas and respect him a lot, look I wasn't impressed with him in his fights against Bey or Selbey but he got the job done tonight. But I still think Tank, Haney, and even Loma ice him. There are levels to this ****, Teo just doesn't have the mentality to stay on top as a champion, he wants to be a boxing celebrity, not a boxer. I mean I get why you say that but I don’t think he’s overhyped in the sense of the boxing world. Arum didn’t want him to fight Loma but they forced his hand and took pay cuts. Teo earned and talked his way to that Loma fight and he won. Period. With that said, there’s a method to the madness of boxing promotion…you have to move fighters slowly and carefully. Promotion is about psychology and chess….the fighters mindset is about confidence because that’s the foundation of any fighter who dares to be great. But it’s about making the right decisions. Teo took this fight after all the delays because he was down to a couple dozen grand and the money overshadowed reality.

The reality is that Teo was outgrowing the division, beat Loma because styles make fights, and his actual life is falling apart. But he should’ve improved after Loma. Both defensively and intellectually. Tonight he showed regression…his corner had nothing for him as far as calming him down and making adjustments.

You can see why fighters like that need the brakes pumped for them and some perspective.
