In that round, Canelo actually had GGG fighting off the back foot. That was the only round in that fight where that happened. Unfortunately for Canelo, GGG can fight off the back foot well enough and won that round clean. When you land 5 or so more punches, and land the best punches of the round, that's a clear round for ya.

NOBODY mentioned round 5... read that whole post again

I said... in 5 rounds of that fight, ALL THREE judges scored those 5 rounds for Canelo... BECAUSE THEY WERE CLEAR ROUNDS... your 8-4 nonsense is just silly fanboy garbage

    not your first time

careful, I still got all my links

    this is typical fanboy bullshlt

clowns talk nonsense, then other clowns repeat that nonsense... hoping that one day it will come true

FACT: in 5 rounds of that fight, ALL THREE JUDGES scored those 5 rounds for Canelo...

... and the reason why ALL THREE JUDGES scored those 5 rounds for Canelo... it because they were CLEAN rounds

Canelo CLEARLY won those 5 rounds, no question whatsoever

talking 8-4 is a fanboy " tell "... the clowns give themselves away

Lil G is out here delusional. Atleast Bud seems to have giving up hope of fighting the guy that doesn't want to fight him. Lil G is stuck in the pass and is refusing to take on any big names to draw interest in him as a fighter. HBO made him and HBO slayed him by making him think that he's the most accomplished can kicker in boxing history.

Neither quote says anyone. He was always in cash out mode bro. That's why when Canelo was working 168, at one point he even said come on up and we'll see about making it happen, and G ducked it because he knows, years after the fact, his power would be way diminished against a 168 Canelo.

I'm not defending Golovkin, I heard I believe it was Abel say "anyone from 154-168" - all I'm saying is, we knew what they really meant. They meant that G would pull an A-Side and drain whoever he could. If it was someone higher on the business scale, he would consider it, but that was half a decade ago and before the loss to Canelo.

Once he lost to Canelo he was begging for the third fight at 160, but Canelo had already moved up. When Golovkin damn near lost to Derevyanchenko, it humbled him, to where he no longer believes in himself unless he's fighting at his own weight, especially now that the threats are largely gone.
          Get it now?

You're arguing with someone who's agreeing with you, but correcting you on what you know they really meant.

The last 2 are really quality wins. GGG just has Sergei on his list and only 3 fights, but odds are Sergei would have given Canelo hell too. His workrate would have been problems for Canelo.

I guess we will see how GGG looks vs Murata but as usual with Canelo, a lot of smoke and mirrors with his fights/wins. That should fool the casual fan but not people on this site.

Since you like making up your own narrative rather than accept the official result of a fight then let's talk about how Daniel Jacobs beat Golovkin according to British and Mexican TV commentators. GGG beat him clearer indeed, doe.

            You're an asshat.

stop making excuses for a hypejob who lied to you... that is embarrassing

Bullshltkin said that he would fight anyone from 154-168 himself... MANY TIMES, FOR YEARS lol

Golovkin says anyone from 154 to 168 including Ward

              get this..............

a few months after Bullshltkin totally refused to drop a single pound for little 153lb Cotto and 155lb Canelo... Golovkin stated on video that he was willing to fight at 154, but nobody will step up...

A frustrated Golovkin willing to fight at 154

I disagree. I can't find one clear round for Canelo in either fight. He just got outworked in both fights, no shame in that, GGG is a hell of a fighter.

Citing official scorecards in a lot of fights is meaningless, and we all know that. I honestly can't believe people really get on here and try and pretend things like Canelo winning either GGG fight, or Ward winning the first Kovalev fight. Just a joke really.

I thought both GGG and Canelo won vs Jacobs. Canelo won 7-5, GGG 8-4. Plus the KD. Both clear wins imo but yes GGG's was clearer.

Punch stats would back that up - Canelo won 8/12 on punch stats. GGG won 9/11 (1 tie). Obviously punch stats are not gospel, but a lot of time they help to tell the story.

I'm shocked Mexican commentators would take shots at GGG and overhype someone's performance against him, shocked!! GGG has been the boogeyman to a lot of people during that timeframe, UK fighters included. Some people were all too desperate to see cracks in his armor.

That’s funny GGG. Doesn’t dwell on it after years of thirsting for that third ass whipping.
He followed Canelo to DAZN despite a bigger per fight guarantee from Top Rank. He was promised a third Canelo fight from DAZN after Oscar lied to them.
Hasn’t taken any kind of risk and looked like **** his last two fights.
At this point there is no benefit for Canelo. There are bigger money fights and even if he KO’s him it’s an older GGG.
