That's what makes me laugh when people insult GGGs resume like people wern't vacating and running for their lives when he was in his prime literally nobody wanted any part of him and that's for good reason. Context matters but it doesn't to some people with biases and narratives.

Content does matter. MW division was Dog sht piled on more dog sht when he was in his prime. These dudes were #1 ranked MW's at the time.

James Toney also became champion at 160 and later beat Vasiliy Jirov for a cruiserweight belt.

Tommy Hearns started at 147 and eleven years later beat Virgil Hill for the light heavyweight belt.

You can look through history and probably find a few, but it's an extraordinary feat even for the most elite in the sport.

Sad that GGG had to look DOWN in Divisions instead of up for fights. Wanted to fight Mayweather, Cotto, Brook, Canelo. All who never fought at 160 before.

Cool man i honestly don't care lol i prefer GGG to Canelo i won't lie there but i'm not remotely close to being a fan boy just facts are facts nobody in the division he was in (irrelavant of moving divisions) wanted any part of him at the time that's why his resume sucks. He could of moved up you right there but that's a different thing isn't it.

Actually if you see my account the first thread was about me starting out boxing why i originally come to the forum i fell out of love with the sport for a couple of years then became a lurcher been around this forum for years just never felt the need to get involved in the discussion now i love boxing more than ever i like to debate with people and see what's going on. You can feel how you like and get a mod to check my i.p if you can do that i have no problems with that. I'm from the UK btw but whatever makes you feel better because i dare criticise Canelo a bit like i do with all fighters i give him props also but i don't lick his ass like some people whats the problem?

That's why I joined the site as well. That and get sometimes gems from other ppl. I like to gamble a lot and any info helps out.

Check my post history you will see i criticise and praise several fighters i'm not on an "anti-makabu campaign" just stating a fact that nobody cares about the guy and not many have even heard of him before Canelo announced that's his fight now people are dissapointed in him fighting a sub par cruiserweight for a belt when he has better competition in lower divisions. I even stated Canelo is p4p 1 and i give him some credit for going to cruiser but if there's a rehydration clause then that's wrong no matter what you say. Beating a mediocre cruiserweight who is drained for a belt is weak sauce. You are delusional just any excuse to dismiss any opinion other than your own.
