Hatton wasn't great when Mayweather beat him, he was some bum. After Pacquiao annihilates him, he is as legit as DLH's weight drained ass. Ofcourse I don't disagree with the T.S, Hatton is indeed a good fighter.

Actually Hatton was a damn good fighter. The biggest weakness was his lack of defense, but for most of his career it did not matter.

Over time the punishment he got in return caught up with him. The signs if his durability breaking down was during the Collazo fight.

It Happens to all fighters. At one time though he was one to be reckoned with. Great footwork, endless stamina and inhuman pressure made him a special fighter. His style dictated that he would not be on a high level for a long time though. It is just the way it is.

Cotto is showing signs of wear and tear also now, it is just still kind of early in the game to tell how far though.

He did have some good wins, even though he failed miserably against the best. He made alot of money and united his country when he fought. He'll be remembered.

Well said, that style of fighting does take a tole. For example, Carlos Baldomir, dude had a GREAT chin, not too long ago I seen him fight on one of those spanish channels, dude was getting rocked and hurt. Same with JLC right now and Erik Morales, happens. Pretty much their punch resistance faded. A defenseless brawler without punch resistance is nothing.

Yes but people should realize that Hatton was already on a downward slide when he did fight the best. He was showing vulnerabilities leading up to them.

So I will not take anything away from him. He fought his guts out over many years. He beat a lot of quality guys but stepped up to the P4P chase a little too late. Just a few years earlier he could walk through Kostya's right hand without getting fazed much. Now that is saying something because if he would have had that durability against Floyd or Manny the fights could have been very different
