usyk is fairly new to the division and has been in with Chisora and has also been in with Joyce in the amateurs (the WSBs).
Parker has stated that if he beats Chisora then he wants the Joyce fight. Credit to parker, he normally looks like he has no desire left in him in boxing, but then he says something like that. Hrgovic is being avoided because he isnt a big money fight but he is a massive risk.

the current top guys were lucky to have come in when Wlad was one foot out the door. They got to hold belts and have the bigger fights to become names. The likes of Hrgovic, Makhmudov, Jalolov are on the same tier in terms of what i expect from them. They're beasts. However they arent big money fights for anyone so who would want to put on them fights?

The other names you threw out not the obvious names why the not fighting each other? Example why Murat Gassiev ain't fighting nobody why don't he fight Hrgovic the abc rankings gotta make sense and Makhmudov I like him but need to be co promoted by a big company like TR, matchroom or PBC. Joseph Parker never been that good he's about to be a gatekeeper. I don't care about the amateur records, I watch the amateurs but when the lights are on that what's matter on fight night.

Furthermore these high amateur always want to fast track and be rather inactive as prospects. Too many guys in boxing talking about world title at 12 fights in boxing now. Nothing wrong fighting 7 times a year as a prospect or even more and winning second tier belts and defending it against average to good opposition. Also it helps to stay in shape and being focus. I mean Wlad was a gold medalist it took him 48 fights to win a world title, he fought 11 times in 1997, 9 times in 98 a lot of these guys are inactive. Guys less hungry and talk about sparring stories too much.

People are assuming Wilder is the 2nd best heavyweight. Yes, he cracked Fury a few times. But Fury got up. And dominated. I probably have never seen a more reckless and unbalanced fighter than Wilder, in any weight class. He's just a horrific boxer. He's got a right hand but who's he actually knocked out with that right hand? Who ? Brazeale ? Ortiz ? Stiverne ? I mean c'mon, not exactly murderers row. In fact, nobody would even know these stiffs if it wasn't for Wilder fighting them. Tell me, who has Wilder knocked out ? His best friend and trainer Malik Scott ? C'mon, I dare anyone to watch that fight and tell me that fight wasn't fixed. Listen , Deontay Wilder is the biggest fraud in the history of boxing. Andy Ruiz will beat Wilder quite handily. But I'll tell you this ,and I'll tell you this now, the fight won't happen. Why? It's too dangerous of a fight for Wilder. It won't happen. If it does happen, Wilder gets KO'ed . Out cold this time. This time those big wide telegraphed punches that Fury throws with flashing lights saying " here I come ! The punches are coming !" won't happen. Andy Ruiz's assets are punching speed and punching power. Bad bad matchup for Wilder. Again, fight won't happen.

The issue with Makhmudov is he fights in Canada. The pandemic has been a huge issue for combat sports in Quebec. There is a great scene in that province & it is finally opening up but Mak doesn’t want to get vaccinated so he can’t come to Canada & is locked in a contract with his promoter there. As for Hrgovic he looks like a beast but i have read in a few articles from his country that the media blames sauerland for his career stalling. They say Kalle won’t pay guys. There was only one bid on the Hrgovic/Hunter eliminator. Hunter walked away & got paid twice as much to fight on Triller. How can a guy be promoted by Sauerland & Matchroom & not get fights? It is all about money. Mark De Mori is the WBA #9 somehow & rumours they couldn’t even secure De Mori & instead he fights Hunter on next Triller event. It sounds like they are not willing to sink more money inyo Hrgovic. I’d like to see him sign with PBC or Arum & bring him to the US. His career has stalled in Europe.

That's the market condition. it's sad, in boxing these cycles go up and down. in other sports like soccer, the worst sh**stain excuses of players today earn 10x what elite players werent 20 yrs ago. Yet boxing never grew like that. the money and ppv numbers the likes of mike tyson was doing, only floyd mayweather could do in recent times. The sport never evolved globally and so it isnt a weatherproof sport. The moment the economy starts to shrink and people start tightening their belts, luxury expenses like boxing go.

it also makes sense if dazn are choosing not to waste money right now and waiting for the market to improve. However it means many boxers slip through the net and get no support or traction. What would a prime HW David Haye have made over the last 5 yrs compared to what he did?
Hunter is lucky that he's from LA and Snoop knows him because he likes his boxing. Hunter got the triller deal because of Snoop. Likewise, Hunter got lucky that Triller were trying to float their business and needed as much hype as possible. Hunter was one of the very few who was available. Hunter is not young anymore so he prob saw the tough fights and figured 'why not take this money instead?'. $1m contract with triller vs $250k from eddie to fight Hrgovic. This guy was so close to an AJ fight back in 19 aswell. it was between Hunter and Ruiz. Then the aj loss and wilder's loss along with Miller getting banned, just meant eddie lost interest in HW boxing in the US as far as putting fights on. Stopped putting on Usyk and parker fights over there. let go of murat gassiev who is a big let down so far in the division, i expected him to whoop other guys. would love to see something like Gassiev vs Hunter too.

I think Babic has more fanfare & exposure than Hrgovic. Babic keeps calling him out. Hrgovic should go smash Babic & shut him up.

If he needs to stay busy they should seriously consider it. Babic just won a WBA regional belt beating Molina so he will soon be in the WBA top 15. He’d have another win over a ranked opponent if he beat him.

Hrgovic needs to get moving. He isn’t getting a title shot anytime soon so better to stay active (3 or 4 fights) in 2022. If he can’t get a top ranked fighter than at least knock a few more decent journeymen around.

I’m no longer convinced Sauerland & Hearn have much interest in Hrgovic. I wonder if he would get meaningful fights with a US based promoter like Top Rank or PBC?

I want to see Hrgovic make moves too, but look at Joyce, he took less money for credible fights and that's why it was easy to do him vs Dubois. personally i think Hrgovic should fight otto wallin or tony yoka. what fights woild pbc give him? wallin left pbc because he couldnt get fights. wilder and ortiz are out of the equation. ruiz only wants big fights ot easy fights. pbc would def not look after hrgovic if they couldnt look after joe joyce who was with them.
