So Canelo is mainly fighting to collect belts...wich is Ok. But Canelo will fight for a belt, because Makabu is a C fighter IMO and his name brings nothing to his legacy and I believe Benavidez would beat Makabu up like Bellew did. I want to recall that Bellew started at 175 and he was pretty average there. I think he was stopped by Stevenson? Canelo will beat Makabu easily.

So far as pointing the finger at someone for recreational drug use, far be it for me. I might find fault for him holding on to a weight class he doesn't seem to fit anymore (presumably to avoid Messrs Bivol and Beterbiev) but far be it for Canelo to find fault for that
Benavidez does not have a great record but for sure a better record than Plant, Fielding, Yildrim or Makabu.

Don't know why Reynoso attacked his record. Benavidez dismantled a solid bunch of good guys at 168. He made boxing a favor retiring a Dirrell and I Hope he can put his hands on the other one lol

What I understand is Benavidez is high risks low rewards and they won't fight him unless they have to.

I'm noticing a pattern here. Benavidez, Andrade, the Charlo brothers didn't deserve a Canelo fight. Lara didn't deserve a rematch. However, JAMES KIRKLAND, LIAM SMITH, AVNER YILDIRIM, and KHAN all earned it, please, if it looks like a duck and walks like a duck.

In my opinion this is the wrong approach for team canelo in regards to the benavidez match up… if I were them, I’d just say they are great fighters and one day if both keep winning the fight will happen… in the meantime, if he really wants the fight, then he has to fight charlo and winner gets the ticket. That’s what and how team Canelo should handle that benavidez/charlo noise… face each other winner gets the ticket simple as that, and until that happens, they don’t get the chance…

Canelo is a b/tchmade coward who had fought and beaten countless other top professional boxers. So, what does that make you if he gets in the ring with fighters like GGG, Mayweather, Jacobs, Lara, Makabu, Callum Smith, Kovalev?

And what does that make Terence Crawford? Whose resume looks like crap compared to the younger Canelo?
calm down chollo Canelo won't let you suck his ****.

Reynoso, "...we are going to look for champions" (like Makabu, the Beast of the Congo).
It's true that Benavidez hasn't done that much but Makabu got demolished in less than 3 rounds by the only credible fighter on his record.
So Reynoso argument don't old water.
This is just boxing's cash cow setting the agenda.

Makabu is in fact a champion with a title as was Plant. What does Benevidez bring? Not money, not fame, not a title, not even an impressive resume.

Reynoso is only pointing out what should be obvious. Certainly Canelo could and might fight him but Benevidez hardly stands out in a crowded field.

Yes but with 2 losses on his record with both coming by way of knockout.
