Porter gets all the respect from me. He was good enough to fight all the top dudes and was willing to step in the ring with all of them as well (not all the top guys can say that). He won some, lost some but was never dominated. Imagine how much better the sport would be if all the top fighters had his same temperament.

Porter's father is a real ******! He should have just said he wanted to save his fighter from further damage. He talked about Porter as if he trained like **** and fought like it! And as he went on porter hung his head looking at the floor. Porter must have felt like ****!

I just think Porter is a smart guy. He gave the max he could with the talent he had and carved out a pretty good career from amateurs through pros. And he was smart enough to transition into other things that he loves, his podcast, boxing announcing, & business ventures. He retired with good health & before taking more unnecessary damage. Like he said, he doesn’t want to be the guy that every up & coming prospect uses as a measuring stick. Kudos to Shawn, great guy, much respect to him!!!

Porter good career 99% of athletes never come close to the top yet porter did. Made several millions n won belts. Less kenny robbing him then shawn is set. Now time for ugas vs crawford ugas beat porter to most people is the other champ outside spence, time to unify division, spence vs thurman. Spence loves risk huge name, resume booster, n dare i say cause thurman aint fought in years time to go at it if thurman puts up a fight like wilder vs fury 1 then rematch make a series, close series/rivalry always good for the sport. Bud still needs resume booster 1 top 10 victory while ugas got 2 to most people time make the fight unify the division.

Yea yea yea we’ve heard it all before.. Shawn will go and “retire” for 2 years max and then say he got the itch to fight back , just like every other fighter is doing, I just hope he doesn’t try to come back too old like Oscar or Mike tyson did

Cong**** on a great career, always gave his best, always in good fights. Apart from rematches he has no one else left to fight now.

Porter’s a decent fighter, nothing special. Not accomplished much in the sport.
He ain't on that level bro.

Like my late uncle said back when united won the treble in 99 about Arsenal "you're good but you'll never be great"
