very true and makes a mockery of the past wars we have seen.....but Crawford is very skilled fighter and very difficult to beatIs anyone surprised ? Porter is past his prime. Heck, maybe even Crawford is past his prime. This is exactly a Shawn Porter fight. Swinging wildly hoping to land. As I said before the fight on this forum, Porter doesn't have elite skill. What he is , is a very good contender. He's a very small, weak, welterweight. It finally caught up to him. I thought the fight was horrendous from the get go. All these announcers on ESPN trying to make it sound like a war because that's what Porter had on his shorts, what a joke. I've seen better sparring matches. Give Crawford credit, he dropped him a few times. Is he better than Spence? I still got Spence ahead, Let them fight. Spence hits 20x harder than Porter. Spence is alot bigger than Porter. And Spence's skills are off the charts. Let's see how Crawford handles that.

Ken Porter kind of pissed me off tonight. First the stoppage which didn't give Shawn a chance to fight back or to go out on his shield, but I can force myself to understand why he did it watching how wobbled Shawn's legs were when he got up. Then he really pissed me off when he started discrediting the work Shawn put in to take the blame off of himself. I understand he did a great job for Shawn raising him, but he's a bit too self-centered to be a world-class trainer.
Bud Crawford showed great composure and championship quality stuff in there despite him seemingly slowing down just a tad bit. He's been willing his way through a lot of his recent fights instead of boxing, would love to see him fight Spence next but I think Spemce needs a comeback fight first.Comment

siablo14 , bro, why did Errol Spence jr. leave the arena so salty?
siablo14, can you please bear witness to my profound boxing knowledge? I do believe that Terence Crawford vs. Shawn Porter, played-out precisely as I predicted in our private conversation.
I did it again.Originally posted by 1hourRunI think that Kenny Porter is going to stop the fight by 9-10 rounds ; they will know that Shawn is way behind and cant KO Crawford. I expect a action packed fight, by the third round we should see some lovely trades, by the 5-6 I see Porter going down or the doctors checking on a cut, a doctor might even stop it. I think Terence and Shawn are going to bring it, but 'Bud's' counter-punching and Porter's relentless pressure is going to cause Shawn a lot of damage.
But you did not tell me who you got and how?Comment

Done crying?? Tell the scared duck, Errol to man up and fightComment

See what the conversations are about now? Not that Crawford won, but that he got a hollow victory with a bunch a what ifs in the air. I wouldn't be surprised if this is to some degree purposeful manipulation of the outcome/fan take awayComment

Spence is finished. He destroyed his career in a car crash. .he ain't coming back. .
Crawford and Porter looked both overrated and past their prime. Crawford vastly overrated and Porter a shell of what he was 5 years ago.Comment

Crawford did what Spence couldn't. Porter's dad saved his son for a horrible beating. I don't think he would have made it out of the round. Watch Spence price himself out. Watch. Same as ducking.Comment

Your the second person to allude to this: Ive been watching boxing now for at least 20 years and have noticed some things... Never noticed this phenomena... you have examples?
Did you maybe consider the dad saw something you didn't? Or again, have i missed the propencity of fathers to throw in the towel when their son is in a winnable fight now and then?Comment
