I like Kenny but what he was saying after the fight sounded petty. Shawn made the same mistake he's done each time he was dropped, but he didn't seem that hurt. Kenny should have let his son weather the storm, but those protective instincts kicked in and he didn't want to chance that Shawn may have been hurt a bit more

Boxingscene.com, owned by CBS, who owns Showtime, who is PBC, went down immediately after posting Crawford won the fight. Interesting. Than on to Kenny Porter who masterfully prevents a PBC fighter from being thoroughly wrecked in front of the world, than creates controversy for the stoppage by throwing Porter under the bus and now everyone will be talking about something other than Crawford's actually winning the fight. I swear, Juan Manuel Marquez could not fight in this era in his prime. He'd lose every big fight on his resume with the way fights are stopped these days.
Porter should remove his dad as his trainer and coach. This fight should prove that for him. Specially after that bs excuse at the end of the match.
Crawford is great but I did see how he can be beaten. Too bad Porter just doesn't carry enough pop to hurt Crawford.

Like I said, Crawford is the best fighter in the world. He just needs the rest of the PBC roster to stop hiding so that he can prove it. Kenny Porter should’ve let the fight go on and let Shawn go out on his shield, but that’s what happens when your father is your head trainer.Comment
