I like him, he's a good fighter and puts in his heart. Would love to see him battle some of the other young lions in his hood.

The rest is what we are seeing from the current era, orchestrated greatness and social media...remember he went up to fight a guy at 140 we never heard of? Canelo doing the same time and time again.

He's like a small GGG with his power. He's also faced subpar competition like GGG so we don't know how good he really is. The only difference is many people want to fight him but his team wants him fighting cans. He's fought 2 top 5 fighters his whole career.

Santa Cruz was undersized, I completely get that but he’s still a very good fighter. It wasn’t as gross a mismatch as people make out IMO.

I don’t know whether you were joking with the gatekeeper comment but surely you’ll concede Santa Cruz is way above that level.

Power, explosiveness, handspeed I suspect he also has a seriously good chin.

because of his big skull, short thick neck?

hes never fought a top 5 fighter. dont know where you are getting your rankings from. hes only fought 2 top 10 fighters if you go by the ring and both were dubious at the time since pedraza was coming off a gift over edner cherry which certainly would have dropping him off the rankings and barrios a gift win over akhmedov which is the only reason he was in the rankings to begin with. this is clear evidence of chery picking in action going after weak guys who are overhyped based on getting wins thanks to politics, something they would have no chance of doing when facing tank who has the political advantage.

At 130, he’s a freak of nature but over 130 he’s decent as long as they keep him away from complete boxers with a high KO percentage WITH EXPERIENCE.
