All he has to do is win 6 rounds minimum as it goes the distance. Like he always does.
Basically, do what nobody has ever done against Crawford so far.
Do that, and the glass shatters on the myth. The truth is revealed: Crawford stepping up at 147 means he's not the beast, he's just another (good) fighter, not a top fighter.
But the thing people are missing is that judges REALLY like Porter's constant aggression because it's easier to score than single shots. It's one of the main reasons for the Spence fight being close. Kenny Porter hinted at it - he basically said it's a game of opinion (judges). Their job is to sway opinion (judges) in their favor. That's all. And in that vein, nobody does better than Shawn Porter.
Crawford doesn't have the power to stop that onslaught and we saw Porter eat flush shots from Keef, Danny, Formella, Berto, Granados, Broner, and Spence and STILL kept coming.
That means Crawford has to frustrate Porter like Ugas managed to, but Crawford doesn't have the range to keep that up for too long.
He's going to eat at least one headbutt after he switches stance, he'll get pissed off, and try to go to war...and he will lose those rounds unless he can avoid a Gamboa situation.
But even when he didn't go to war, he lost every round against Kell Brook barely trying, he lost majority of the rounds of Khan's jab barely trying.
This isn't even about Crawford. I maintain that unless Shawn doesn't show up for some reason, we're about to learn some things about Crawford that people won't be ready to accept come the night of the fight.
