By Keith Idec - LAS VEGAS - The last thing Terence Crawford wanted to do when he came down the stairs from a makeshift stage Wednesday was answer more questions. Crawford had just appeared on Max Kellerman's boxing show. That followed approximately 10 minutes with a group of reporters after his final press conference with Shawn Porter and a satellite television tour that lasted nearly one hour.

Errol Spence Jr. was his preferred opponent, and reasonable cases can be made for whomever you want to blame for their fight failing to materialize. But this is the next best thing – Crawford faced with the opponent that undoubtedly gave Spence the toughest fight of his nine-year pro career just two years ago.
Not just preferred opponent at this point, the ONLY opponent we're interested in seeing him fight. It's pathetic they haven't fought yet. If this was the 70s or 80's they'd be on their second fight now. Apart from the HW and MW divisions (thank God for Fury and Canelo), I guarantee you no one apart from avid boxing fans even knows who the WW champions are - they should be ashamed of themselves. Legacy my ****ing arse.

What exactly are we going to find out? Does anybody think Porter will beat Crawford? Porter is awkward & game. But a victory over him will not define Crawford. Didn’t define Spence either. Porter is a good fighter but not a great one.

Porter is going to make it a war from the opening bell until he gets clipped then stopped.

              Yeah

Although imagine Porter won? It would destroy Crawford’s legacy. He’s about 35 and this is his biggest fight. Even though Porter has some losses, it will still arguably be Bud’s best win. So a lot of people would say Crawford lost when he really stepped up and pick apart his resume which isn’t that great in terms of good names.

I think Crawford wins but I’ve always thought Porter has an awful style that is possibly going to land him one really big win in his career as an underdog, just because the favourite doesn’t get to grips with him and that style.

Nobody ever had an easy fight with Porter so if Crawford handles him very well, then I think it elevates him even more. Should Crawford lose or gets some controversial decision, it would be damaging because his best win would still be Postol.

If Crawford could beat Boots, I would say he's the #1 WW, even without facing Spence! If Spence beat Boots, It would cement his position as # 1 WW, even without ever facing Crawford! I want to see which Top 5 WW has the balls to face Jaron "Boots" Ennis! MAN UP!

Porter has a tendency to go after his opponent like Ricardo Mayorga -- helicopter blades madly whirling and wide. If Crawford can keep cool and throw short, straight punches right down the center, he'll walk away with a solid decision, maybe even a knockout.
