Although imagine Porter won? It would destroy Crawford’s legacy. He’s about 35 and this is his biggest fight. Even though Porter has some losses, it will still arguably be Bud’s best win. So a lot of people would say Crawford lost when he really stepped up and pick apart his resume which isn’t that great in terms of good names.

I think Crawford wins but I’ve always thought Porter has an awful style that is possibly going to land him one really big win in his career as an underdog, just because the favourite doesn’t get to grips with him and that style.

Nobody ever had an easy fight with Porter so if Crawford handles him very well, then I think it elevates him even more. Should Crawford lose or gets some controversial decision, it would be damaging because his best win would still be Postol.
    Porter doesn't need to win.

All he has to do is win 6 rounds minimum as it goes the distance. Like he always does.

Basically, do what nobody has ever done against Crawford so far.

Do that, and the glass shatters on the myth. The truth is revealed: Crawford stepping up at 147 means he's not the beast, he's just another (good) fighter, not a top fighter.

But the thing people are missing is that judges REALLY like Porter's constant aggression because it's easier to score than single shots. It's one of the main reasons for the Spence fight being close. Kenny Porter hinted at it - he basically said it's a game of opinion (judges). Their job is to sway opinion (judges) in their favor. That's all. And in that vein, nobody does better than Shawn Porter.

Crawford doesn't have the power to stop that onslaught and we saw Porter eat flush shots from Keef, Danny, Formella, Berto, Granados, Broner, and Spence and STILL kept coming.

That means Crawford has to frustrate Porter like Ugas managed to, but Crawford doesn't have the range to keep that up for too long.

He's going to eat at least one headbutt after he switches stance, he'll get pissed off, and try to go to war...and he will lose those rounds unless he can avoid a Gamboa situation.

But even when he didn't go to war, he lost every round against Kell Brook barely trying, he lost majority of the rounds of Khan's jab barely trying.

This isn't even about Crawford. I maintain that unless Shawn doesn't show up for some reason, we're about to learn some things about Crawford that people won't be ready to accept come the night of the fight.

I think you mean slowing down. Porter is the same age as Crawford, so basically all things are still equal. Crawford shuts the lights off on or after the 9th. Bet on it.

Uhm, that's a unusually high standard you seem only to have for Crawford. This obviously didn't apply to Thurman or Spence, with Spence being considered the top WW.

Porter already beat Thurman and Spence. This is the real best vs best.

Unfortunately, Crawford-Spence might not ever get made. I think guys like Spence and Thurman will eventually move up to Light Middleweight and the Welterweight super fight will be between Bud vs Boots.

No one has or had Thurman or Spence as P4P #1, nor did they refer to themselves as the best fighter in the world.

Crawford set this high standard for himself.

From the article: "This isn’t just Crawford’s fifth defense of the WBO belt he won by battering Jeff Horn in June 2018. This is his opportunity to prove what he established in the first two divisions in which he won world titles, that he is a level above even the top competition."

I'm not sure even a big win against Porter establishes he is a level above the top competition. Ultimately he needs to fight Spence just to decide who is the best in the division, let alone being levels above. And there is still Ugas, Ennis and Virgil Ortiz waiting in the wings.

So hyped for this fight, I really think Bud is gonna be the first one to stop Porter but Shawn a dog.

                  Excellent fight.

Ennis has looked fantastic so far.. But I don't think he's ready for Crawford or Spence yet. Boots needs a fight or two with a top-ten WW before he steps up to that plate. Beating Dulorme and Lipinets doesn't cut it. I'd like to see him match up with Garcia or preferably Ugas first. Boots v Ortiz would be a great scrap too.

When facts are stated you’re labeled a hater….this dude is 34 and this fight on paper is the toughest of his career…a fighter who has 3 loses and many people think it should be 4 and he had to be threatened to do that…..he re-signed with a greedy promoter who is known to do mainly in-house fights and has been sued by his own fighters for holding their careers back …he backed doored his way to a welterweight title through a in house fight and he thinks he should be automatically considered an all time great? Foh
