I have a question that I am hoping someone can answer. It isn't about this fight but it is about the light heavyweight division. With that said, I was reading this article and I looked over the light heavy rankings and I noticed that Artur was not ranked at #1 by Boxrec. I was a little curious as well as slightly befuddle so I looked further. I am now really befuddled as to why Callum Smith is ranked #1 in the division by boxrec? I understand that Smith knocked cold a durable fighter in Lenin. But the dude is ranked 69th in the world. A great number for other reasons but not when it comes to world boxing rankings. It also doesn't help that Lenin's best accomplishment before Smith KO'ed him was that he won one round out of twelve against Bivol on the cards. Both Bivol and Artur have also beaten both Ring and Boxrec top ten fighters in the division and somehow Smith jumps ahead of them? And how, by beating a dude that ain't even ranked in the top fifty in his only fight in the same division? Hell, he shouldn't even be ranked above Joe Smith! So, please tell me on what planet this makes any sense?Comment

Don't forget the abysmal performance between Danny and Chavez Jr too. I'm not sure how much hunger Jacobs has to get in the ring anymore, he was beat when he could manage his massive weight cuts and boil down to 160.Comment

I typically don't use any ranking system as anything more than a very rough guide.Last edited by PBR Streetgang; 11-17-2021, 10:20 PM.Comment

I remember Johnson's fight against Beterbiev. That's when I knew for sure the Russian-canadian was a very very bad man! This said, Johnson vs Smith is a very good fight! But yes, Beterbiev beats both of them.Comment
