Canelo`s future options: Rivas, Arreola, Usyk, Ruiz

I am not even joking, Canelo is the new Toney. His future is clearly Rivas at bridgerweight. Than, he will taste the waters against Arreola at heavyweight, and continue fighting guys like Usyk or Ruiz. Imagine Canelo -Ruiz in Mexico.

I feel sorry for Bivol, Beterbiev, Charlo, Andrade, Benavidez, but Canelo will be walking around about 200 lbs soon, he will not likely come back to 168.

He might be done at 168.

His greatness is beyond 160 and 168. People don’t understand that. He might go back to 168 or just hang at 175 and above. No one but Canelo and his team know.

I honestly don’t rule out the heavyweights right now. I’m not joking either.

Canelo was born with this unique wide stocky and durable frame, where he still has quickness to him though. Plus he’s naturally skilled and has incredible work ethic.

The sky is the limit with him.

i can see him fighting some bum at heavyweight but he would go nowhere near usyk, who is simply a much better fighter than canelo.

Just letting you know, that if he goes to heavyweight and beats USYK, for me, he’s the greatest boxer of all time. Hands down no question.

Not saying he’s going to heavy, but just letting you know that if he did and accomplished that it would be game over for me.

          Sorry you were not joking.

Canelo saw Makabu get a bit of a gift against Papin on the under card of his fight with Kovalev. Canelo isn't fighting any top cruisers. No Briedis, no Okolie and no heavies...No Usyk, No Ruiz, and I'm not joking either.

          Just fight Beterbiev FFS!

How exactly is Canelo in any way comparable to James Toney?

How is he not? Toney climbed from 160 to heavyweight. Canelo is doing the same, obviously.

Toney didn't win world titles at Light Heavyweight or Heavyweight.

If he's comparable to anyone in that specific regard then it's Roy Jones, not James Toney.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but heavyweight is a step too far, even cruiserweight may be.

Lets keep it reasonable, Canelo is short, 5ft7 if the Tale of the Tape in the Plant fight was correct. He has no chance against Usyk let alone a taller heavyweight.

He may get through his CW challenge, but even that remains a question mark.
