You're not totally wrong, but there's deft difference in treatment.
When they fight more than twice a year and stop chasing one dude we do support them.
Its not because he's black, it's because he's Crawford. Personality is everything. People discriminate way more on personality, than race, gender, sexual orientation. If you're likable, it dont matter what color is your skin. Black athletes that are likable make it far, any athlete that's quiet and blames others is not going anywhere, including blonde Europeans with blue eyes.
Back when GGG made his debut on HBO, the media was going crazy for him; and rightfully so. Eventhough the competition wasn't the best, he was annihilating everyone and it was fun to see. Everyone loved him so much that he shot up the top 10 P4P list, again, without really facing anyone of note. On the other hand, you have Tank Davis now doing very similar. Not fighting the best possible opposition, but annihilating everyone in front of him. He's actually doing it in multiple weight class, something GGG never did. Now, do you see Davis on anyone's P4P list? Very rarely, and if you do, he's at the 10 spot. Why is it that GGG can land unanimously top 4-5 but Tank can't?
That's just one example, but there's plenty more. Again, there's so truth in what you said as well, but we can't ignore black fighters get treated differently.Comment

Yes he did! He re-signed in 2018! Back then, the Top 5, besides himself, were: #1 Keith Thurman, #2 Errol Spence Jr., #3 Danny Garcia, #4 Shawn Porter, and #5 Manny Pacquiao! Even Manny went to where the action was, but Bud decided to stay! Big mistake! The only reason he's getting Porter now is because the WBO ordered the fight! Bob Arum was on record, back in May, saying he did not want to do the fight! I just don't understand how Bud, following Oscar, Floyd, Cotto, Mikey, and Pacquiao, would decide to stay at TR!

We know Crawford is a great talent, but one mistake he did was resign with Bob! Crawford is a threat to anyone at 147-154 although he may be undersized for 154 but two things need to happen he's got to demand more fights with a promoter whom can guarantee he fights 2 to 3 times per year, at this point he can't have the same status as a Canelo because Canelo has a whole country behind him plus other countries support as well and only the mainstream fans know Crawford, but at this point be the best you can be and make the most you can for securing your family and lifestyle. Spence may never be the same or fight you, Ennis is going to be a problem and the division is hot! Make a statement with Porter and everyone will be on notice!Comment

I like Crawford, but he stunk the joint out on his 1st PPV against Postol. People remember that kind of thing. If he doesn't like where he is at in his career, he should look in the mirror.Comment

Crawford re-upped with Arum instead of going where all the top welterweights were. Even after Arum failed to get him a Pacquiao fight.
His reward? Arum insulted him and put him down in public, saying he could have bought a house in Beverly Hills with all the money he has lost on Crawford.
TC has only himself to blame for that decision.

“He is getting all of the fights that he wants right now. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to. It has been frustrating.”
He also stepped up in competition way younger than you. Fans like that.
And he knows this is because he signed with TR, twice, for the sole purpose of getting one fight vs Pacquiao. While every other WW fighter fought out of PBC. Even Pacquiao himself saw that and left.
Crawford also has already said he doesn’t care about fighting top guys. Changing his tune now.
"He is definitely doing things differently to me because he is able and capable of doing those things,"
That’s because he has a fanbase. A large one. It’s an inherited fanbase. Due to boxing’s popularity in Mexico, and Canelo’s already good charisma, he became a superstar,. Networks will want him over you, with zero fanbase and a boring personality.
Crawford does not have a ton of supporters. Arum and networks lose money on Crawford so much, that, Arum publicly said it, and said he does not want to deal with Crawford anymore because he wants superstar money while being unable to generate superstar revenue.
It’s really that easy. He should know that. Crawford needs to stop pretending he has this “elite” resume.Comment

Too bad the world won’t be willing to shell out 70 bucks to see you try and prove it to the world bud… I sure as hell ain’t, and you’re lucky you’re facing a guy like Porter which should help, but your style is boring sir… sorryComment

You beat me to it.Crawford re-upped with Arum instead of going where all the top welterweights were. Even after Arum failed to get him a Pacquiao fight.
His reward? Arum insulted him and put him down in public, saying he could have bought a house in Beverly Hills with all the money he has lost on Crawford.
TC has only himself to blame for that decision.
He should know why he can’t get big fights. He asks for too much money. Money that he can’t generate.Comment
