After Canelo, Benavidez is the next best super middleweight in the world.

Who else could Canelo fight at super middle, I guess Charlo and Golovkin, if they move up, which of course they would for the Canelo lottery money.

Canelo, if he fights Bivol in the future, do that at light heavyweight, don't make the guy come down in weight.

I also would love to see Benavidez vs Golovkin and Charlo.

If it's a PBC guy then Charlo gets the call over Benavidez IMO

No doe. PBC is not getting Canelo back. His next fight is on DAZN.
PBC would have had a case if they've pressured Charlo into fighting you.
          Although Showtime Espinoza tried:

Showtime's Espinoza: I Still Think It's Very Possible Jermall Charlo-Benavidez Happens Next

Apparently, Charlo turned it down, which is typical of his pretend nature.

The winner would have had the Mexican superstar going back to fight the deserving guy.

The fact that Jermall Charlo is seen as a leading candidate over Benavides for the Canelo fight is exactly why Charlo-Benavides should happen.

I don’t wanna see them do “rock-paper-scissor”. One needs to get the other out of the way so there’s no question.

Yeah he’s been dull in loosing it on the scales but that was largely due to lockdown restrictions and him not being able to access a gym and isolate for a week prior to the fight. That hasn’t changed his skill level. That’s the same. He’s still the danger man in the division. Making a host of excuses as to why Canelo shouldn’t fight him just deprives the world of what should be a genuine challenge for Canelo probably more so than Bivol and perhaps even an ageing Beterbiev. I for one want to see him fight Benavidez more than either of those two. The infrequency with which Canelo or his team mention his name to me just reinforces my view that it’s a fight they’d rather avoid if they can and suggests they know he’s one of the toughest fights out there.

I think he’ll get the fight for one reason - when Canelo fought Floyd it was on Floyd’s terms. Floyd chose to fight him early in Canelo’s career and forced a catch weight. That gave Floyd the edge in experience, meant Canelo wasn’t at his peak and was slightly weight drained. The boot is on the other foot now with Benavidez. Canelo is the one with the experience but not the age. The longer he leaves it the better Benavidez is likely to get, the bigger he may be as he won’t have any issue following Canelo up to 175 if that’s where he goes.

And PED cheat, seriously!! He got busted for snorting coke. It’s hardly a PED even if it is banned for those reasons. Again, ****** yes, but realistically do you reckon he was just partying it up on the town or doing it to gain a competitive advantage in the ring. Easy to write mindless trolling crap without thinking.
What exactly had Benavidez shown you for any of that to be remotely the case?

Benavidez is absolutely correct. Canelo had a legitimate claim or excuse to go after unifying the titles....and I have nothing against that decision. I also believe Canelo is at the top of his game and P4P the best right now. However if he wants to solidify his place at the top, it's time he faces Benavidez.....Charlo......Andrade.....or GGG - at least two of the listed.

Benavidez has an extremely thin resume. It is slim pickings at 168, which why Canelo should move up.

Benavidez’s resume is so weak, I do not see Canelo getting any credit by his critics if he were to win. Even those who say Canelo would not fight him/will duck him. They will just say he was green and untested. Is he? I think so. 24 years old, no elite wins yet.

So, I would agree with Canelo critics if he fights him and schools him: You beat/exposed a guy we knew nothing of at the elite level. Dirrell, Medina, Love are not elite. Problem is, unlike Canelo critics, I do not flip flop. If I say boxer(A) is scared of another boxer(B), but the boxer I accused for being scared, steps up and fights boxer(B), I would just keep my mouth shut and let it go, not be stubborn or a sore loser.

Also, by 24, Canelo had fought a few elite fighters of their time: Mayweather, Trout, and Lara.

                    Canelo may even KO Benavidez.

Canelo should fight one or all of Beterbiev, Bivol, and Smith Jr.

For the time being, Benavidez is a waste of a fight for Canelo. He gains nothing.

Canelo will create a weight class at 169 to avoid Benavidez
