GTFOH! uncertainty? Really, Haymon and PBC where the ones w/t a $500 mil investment by Waddell and Reed and a stable of fighters. Oscar & GBP was the uncertain commodity w/t only two known names left on his stable w/t Canelo and Lucas Mathysse. Yet, Oscar was still able to leverage that to a new HBO deal. While your boy Schaefer was black balled by Uncle Al himself, LOL. Again, Schaefer has been an utter failure since he was ousted from Golden Boy not only has his promotion gone under dude is working w/t drug cartel to stay in the business.

schaeffer handed oscar canelo on a platter...and all oscar did was **** it up! thats all oscar does!

Unfortunately you just can't count on those rainbows and that's why nobody else can see it like you do.

Curt, I'm sorry but your post isn't a point of view as much as it is rewriting history.

no its factual....there are just dumb, ignoramuses, such as yourself who will never admit that schaeffer and haymon did more for canelos career than oscar ever did....they handed oscar canelo on a platter and he ****ed it up...its plain and simple...easy to see...but when you have an agenda you put your glasses on and cant see anything but the darkness...a monkey could have guided canelos career after the way schaeffer set it up...

Again you are revisiting history in an attempt to rewrite it.

Yes, Richard Schaefer was Oscars manager and then CEO and yes he was able to leverage his relationship with De La Hoya to sign a deal on HBO that locked Goldenboy the business into dates that no other company could match. Schaefer structured deals like Al Haymon, he was an attorney that behind the scenes would negotiate contracts but he never promoted anything or built a single superstar. Schaefer was a contract negotiator that used Oscar to build a company not a fighter and there in lay the difference. The key in all of this is Oscar De La Hoya. Nobody, including HBO signed with Schaefer, they signed with De La Hoya because he was the money. After Arum, Oscar is arguably the most successful superstar maker and only rivaled by Floyd.

            Look at the facts:
Floyd's purse went up 250% and didn't make double digits until after fighting Oscar. Pacman never made more than a 3 million before Oscar. The common denominator is Oscar and mass appeal and financial clout. Like him or not, Oscar was a marketing machine and he built Canelo into what he is and he'll build Ortiz and Garcia both into mega stars if they stay with him long enough. That said, Oscar is NOT a Messiah and he is not cheap. Like Bob Arum Oscar's star making comes with a hefty price tag but his ability to promote is undeniable.

Bruh, that no complete clause ended August 2015, LOL. Even after it ended uncle Al still choose to go w/t Tom Brown as his main promoter only throwing scraps to Schaefer once every blue moon. As for Golden Boy Oscar’s Top 2 building blocks Vergil and Ryan are already pulling more fans than any other 23 yrs olds to their events. Just watch Oscar turn Vergil Ortiz into the next face of boxing just like he did Canelo while Schaefer runs another promotional company down the drain

Schaefer was a businessman, he built Goldenboy THE COMPANY off of Oscars mass appeal, stardom and financial clout. Al Haymon is and always was just a manager that has never promoted anything including Canelo...ever. Today, still, as a manager Al Haymon has a contract lock on a network that he uses to attract fighters and keep them in line. Al Haymon and Richard Schaefer never built or promoted into existence a superstar in their lives.

If you don't get that you either naive or you simply refuse to believe anything that doesn't match your cult worshiping narrative.

lol...you are so clueless its sad.....the fact that you tried to say canelo was down in the dumps after floyd and at some all time low tells me everything...you have 0 credibilty and i showed you how wrong you are.....why do you think there was a non compete? lol.....did anyone actually think schaeffer was going to come back from that and start some monster promotional outfit from scratch? no...but for some reason you think that because he didnt thats proof...when the odds of schaeffer becoming a top promotional company on his own was always zero to none.....its the same old tired story with fgts like you and "f@g$arenice"...just a couple of haymon haters that are mad and upset and what haymon and floyd were able to accomplish

everyone in the world knows oscar did nothing with canelo...except lose him....the canelo that schaeffer turned over to oscar could have had his career run by an actual monkey and still have had it be what its been....FOH

theres a difference between oscar making a star by fighting him...and oscar making a star in his company without fighting him....understand that and understand what im talking about...im not talking about oscar making floyd and manny stars because he fought them...im talking about him taking a fighter from scratch and making them a star under his guidance
