DAZN re-ups deal w/t Golden Boy

Interesting, it appears that Golden Boy’s DAZN deal might not come to an end after all.

Nice Good For Them! Hopefully Oscar, Gomez and GBP are given MORE CONTROL here in the U.S. instead of having to hear more of Eddie Hearn cry about how nobody likes him here in the U.S. lol

More happy for Vergil Ortiz. Blair Cobb and some of their other fighters I really like and root for. Also Salute to DAZN for continuing to invest into the sport I love. I give DAZN a lot of sh^t but I'm in Full Support of any platform that invest into boxing

      Good.

I am assuming Oscar scrapped his idea of a comeback.

ok great.....and im gonna say some stuff...and honestly im not trying to knock DAZN or GBP

like who TF cares? listen i love the sport too...and yeah i like vergil...and want to see vergil, ry and a few others on GBP fight.....but both sides lost the biggest star in boxing....and what was DAZN going to do? fully rely on golovkin and eddie hearn? i dont think so....there arent many other options for either sides of this relationship.....bob and al arent coming to DAZN and they are still the top 2 power brokers....joshua brought star power and still had some left...but he just got pants'd and is just about done.....usyk aint star caliber even though hes a great fighter/top caliber maybe one of the top 3 in the world

its slim pickins for DAZN...and where was golden boy gonna go?

If Oscar did re-up w/t DAZN then hopefully the new deal includes more dates. Golden Boy’s stable might not be Star heavy but they’re deep w/t young talent other than Vergil Ortiz & Ryan Garcia there’s also William Zepeda, Bek the Bully, Ava Stevens, Tristan Kalkreuth, Aaron McKenna, Alexis Rocha, Lamont Roach, Rashidi Ellis, Joet Gonzalez, Hector Tenajara, Joshua Franco, Oscar Duarte, Ricardo Sandoval etc… add that to more established fighters like Zurdo Ramirez, Seniesa Estrada, JoJo Diaz and Jaime Munguia Golden Boy has more to offer than what people think.

is oscar stepped back id feel better about golden boy...hes done nothing good when he puts his prints on stuff.....he alienated canelo and lost him....he didnt even have to do anything because schaeffer, in part because of his relationship with haymon, had already begun the ascent to stardom...schaeffer did most of the real work getting that started and oscar came in as it was unfolding....then he lost him......oscar isnt stable and that should require no further proof than all of his nonsense talk of coming back and wanting to get into these trendy farce fights......hes already beefed on social media with ry and its probably only a matter of time before that erupts into something bigger....whether is oscar wanting a real tough fight for ry and ry not wanting it...or ry wanting a real tough fight and oscar not wanting it......GB has alot riding on ry and him becoming the next oscar or something similar.....if he gets knocked early its not good for any of them.....which is why you saw ry talking all that stuff on facetime with tank on tysons show but not really wanting it and knowing it wasnt going to happen anyway.....i dont dislike ry either....but oscar just isnt good at this part of the boxing game/business....hes just not....he hasnt done anything noteworthy with anyone ..unless you couldnt alienating the top star in boxing and losing him

think of it in simple terms...in form of these simple questions

where else was golden boy going to go?

if DAZN was going to stay in the boxing game who else were they going to depend on to bring talent? just hearn alone?

Stop it, Haymon gets no credit for building Canelo into the face of boxing. If anything Oscar deserves credit for rebuilding Canelo after the Mayweather embarrassment. I mean Oscar got Canelo a very lucrative HBO deal even after that humiliation. Also, made Canelo the #1 attraction and PPV Star in Boxing not to mention got him a $365 mil dollar deal w/t DAZN. Yes, their relationship ended in bad terms but which recent face of boxing didn’t leave his promoter i.e. Oscar, PacMan, Mayweather etc… once you reach that point in your career you don’t need a promoter. As for Schafer the dude has been an utter failure since he was bought out of GBP his Ringstar promotions just went extinct and now is staring a new company w/t an Irish drug cartel. People seem to forget the last 3 faces of boxing Mayweather, Pacquiao and Canelo have one thing in common and that is none became the top PPV attraction until Oscar fought them or was involve in their career..

lol....spoken like a true hater and oscar fanboi.....schaeffer built canelo and used his relationship with haymon to do so...it was schaeffer angling to get canelo vs floyd...and he had canelo on floyd ppv undercards...because him and haymon planned canelo v floyd....and it wasnt to serve as an "embarrassment" to canelo....it was to help launch him.......thats what annoys people about haymon and schaeffer....they actually did more to help canelo than oscar ever did....and when they handed canelo to oscar blew it and lost him at his peak.....ringstar promotions never had a chance...oscar had schaeffer sit out with a non compete....ringstar was never going to take off....but while schaeffer was running golden boy it was at its peak...best it ever was...thats clear and not up for debate

floyd didnt leave top rank while he was at the top or had reached the pinnacle...it was after he left that he ascended......schaffer handed oscar a ready made canelo...ready to be a star...he put in all the real work.....was it oscar pairing canelo on floyd undercards and angling/making floyd / canelo? nope....and youre desperate and reaching if you think canelo losing that fight had to start him over from scratch from some "embarrassment"...it didnt...it helped launch him....you are so out of touch with reality its scary

manny and floyd didnt leave their promoter at their peak the way canelo has...floyd left before he took off...manny left far after the ride was over...canelo is at his peak right now and oscar blew it....blew a star that he was handed.....hes already beefed with ry on social media and it wont be long before those two are at it again....watch
