Did the losses to Canelo end Golovkins relevancy in boxing?

I hear nothing of him anymore and he is not fighting anyone worth a penny, is his career really over since the Canelo fights?

Yeah he hasn't really done anything relevant since Canelo aside from the DV fight (I thought he lost that one). But the same can be said for these other guys sitting around not fighting each other hoping to win the Canelo sweepstakes.

Side note: GGG won that first Canelo fight

He's fighting in a unification next month in a 37,000 seat venue.

you said "losses". not even the paid judges could bring themselves to give Canelo anything more than a draw in the first fight..

Time has affected Golvkin's relevancy, as it will ours too.

I would say not having HBO anymore hurt GGG career but yeah no longer being attached Canelo while Canelo has moved on to do great things also plays a factor

Fighting Martirosyan, Rolls, Szeremeta in 3 of 5 his last fights is what ended his relevancy.

I don’t think was the one loss, not losses FTR. I think it was GGG’s lack of urgency following the loss. It’s like he’s just hanging around waiting for the trilogy rather than focusing on his own ambitions. Derevyanchenko was a good opponent but Rolls and Szeremeta were trash, nobody is gonna be interested in that. GGG needs to be active against top 10 guys again, Murata is a good start, that’ll be a good fight, after that I hope he stays active and fights in the spring, I wouldn’t mind seeing him come over to the UK for Eubank Jr tbh.

More like exposed GGG for what he is.
Looked like a monster against B and C level competition but looked pedestrian against top guys like Jacobs and Canelo.

Do you think he can become relevant again?
