He wouldn't get passed Bivol, let Alone Beterbiev.... To think otherwise is pure fantasy ....

My utmost respect for the legendary Bernard Hopkins, one heck of a middleweight world champion in his prime and I agree with him that Canelo can be completely dominant obliterating foes at 68 and 75. BUT, i don't think the 5′ 8″ Guadalajara Warrior can be any fast and furious in the 200 pound weight-class. I think it is way too much the stretch.
As a matter of fact, I think Canelo has good chances against top 175 dogs Bivol and Beterbiev, thought I doubt that the Mexican super star would want to battle them as there are more known possible opponents from this side of the Atlantic whom Canelo could fight at 168 lbs, such as Jermell Charlo (if Charlo wants a big pay check, I think the does), unbeaten former 2-time 168 world champion David Benavidez and even former nemesis GGG Genady Golovkin (if Triple G handsomely defeats Murata next month in Japan).
In conclusion, I feel that Canelo is staying at 168, and would go up to 175 only if its is a huge ($$$$) incentive. Time will tell.

I have watched all Canelo s fights. Some were grainy and blurred.I studied the meeting between Kirkland,a team and Canelo,s where Canelo sat alone near tbe end of this large pine table. James Kirkland was standing across from him and talking to him in a derogatory manner. Canelo looked a little lost. Kirkland was trying to intimidate him. Canelo stayed silent. Then the fight arrived and the bell went. James practically jumped on Canelo. James was that stoked up that he would have lifted the head of Canelo if he could. A grudge match if ever there was one. He had 30 seconds of success and then he almost got killed. It was one of Canelo,s most violent demonstrations. James never went near boxing for 4 years. Eddy,Chepo, Canelo and team, say prayers for their team and the opposition team before each fight. They are serious and honourable people. I would love for Canelo to retire and watch his children grow but he lives and breathes boxing. Canelo is a breath of fresh air and very good fir boxing.

He doesn't have one punch knock out power, it comes from flurries. Flurries that would never catch canelo because he easily has slower hands than the guys aforementioned. I think 175 is a real challenge for canelo, but luckily there is nobody at 175 right now that would have the hand speed or defense to give canelo problems.
who said that Benavidez will beat Canelo ?

I dunno about canelo stepping in to cruiser weight it seems too much weight plus he would be on a huge disadvantage on height n reach, could be just too much but on the other hand lets imagine if he pulls it off, 5 div world champion would put cherry on top of an already amazing career of course his haters will keep hatin regardless thats a fact, i rather prefer a match w/benavidez, charlo or beterviev at 175
