Somewhere in the neighborhood north of 90% of the boxing world thought Canelo would easily beat Plant as well as all the other rather weak 168 ponders that he has fought. Somehow that now equates to him cleaning out a higher division that is no where near as weak as the one that he now resides. I honestly don't understand the math?

not cruiser, but I can see him being successful at light-heavy

Canelo is better than Bivol in every department... Smith and even Beterbiev are too basic for Canelo... but Beterbiev is a monster, that would be a great fight

Benavidez is the man that would cause Canelo the most problems... he is young enough, abrasive enough, and skilled enough... to give Canelo fits... none of those other guys provide those dimensions

I'm sure Canelo feels pretty confident he could potentially become undisputed at 75.

        correct

from 168-175, only Benavidez has the right package to take the fat red kid to the wire

I'm not sure why people mention Benavides as the guy that will ultimately beat canelo at 168-175. To begin with that guy would be an easier opponent than BJS and Plant.. he has no defense and stands up straight and narrow when fighting, he leaves his stomach exposed. He doesn't have one punch knock out power, it comes from flurries. Flurries that would never catch canelo because he easily has slower hands than the guys aforementioned. I think 175 is a real challenge for canelo, but luckily there is nobody at 175 right now that would have the hand speed or defense to give canelo problems.

No, I haven't forgotten and - just like with Toney - I would always factor it in when assessing his achievements.

I highly doubt he touches the tougher boxers at light heavy, let alone even entertain the idea of cruiser.

Just, lol. You guys just don’t stop?

You all said the same thing about Trout, Lara, GGG twice, Jacobs, and even Callum Smith. You all accused him of being too scared to fight Kovalev at the full 175 limit as well. Boxing fans are clearly pack of ass hats. Fck man. Accused him of being too scared of fighting GGG a second time. It’s ridiculous.

I have never seen a more stubborn bunch of sports fans than boxing critics.

Again and again, constantly, he fights the fighters you all say he is ducking. You all have a serious amnesia issue. It’s sad at this point.
