When Paul wins, is Pavlik gonna make excuses?

pavliks reign is over IMO... hell never be atop the MW division again as long as Pwill is there, and I dont think he will do that well at 168.

You're basing an awful lot on a fight that happened more than 2 years ago. Williams has improved a lot since then. He is much harder to hit cleanly, and he lands a lot higher percentage of his own punches now.

Gonna be a great fight...You have the classic puncher against the high volume puncher...It will be interesting to see what Williams can do against a true middle weight.
Don't count Pavlik out so soon. His only loss is at a catch weight against a fighter that knows how to make the other fighter look bad(B-HOP).Kelly never loss at middle weight.

Ordinarily, when two big punchers with high work-rates and poor defences collide, I would favour the naturally bigger man to win a blowout but there's a big question mark hanging over Pavlik's frame of mind, which makes this match-up interesting.

I'm not getting my hopes up until I see both fighters in the ring together on fight night. I learned my lesson last time the fight was announced. Too much drama with Pavlik this year. Hopefully no more postponements and we FINALLY get to see these styles collide.

Williams will murder him with his mid-range game. Pavlik can't fight if you step inside his right hand. He can't throw a short hook to save his life. Everything is long. If Paul doesn't fall asleep on the outside, he wins this fight EASILY.

Paul Williams by domination. Pavlik will look C-Class after this fight is over. Back to ESPN he goes.

Thank you for placing this contest into what I feel is a much more complete perspective.
All I hear about is how Williams will destroy Kelly. I don't understand the lack of balance which encompasses this concept. Williams lost to a journeyman, Pavlik to a Hall Of Famer at a weight which he could not get comfortable with.
At middle, Pavlik is a relentless machine when he is on his game. That is the only question. Who will bring their A game to Atlantiic City? My gut tells me That Pavlik is due for redemption.

I'm lookin at it strictly on how pavlik wins....he starts slow, he usually gets knocked down and bloodied up or somethin and ends up KO'ing the fighter if he is the type to fade in later rounds.....taylor, miranda. But paul's work rate is just astounding, this dude throws a million punches a round, and for a slow plodding fighter (w/ power) like pavlik.....i kinda see paul takin this one...not by KO either...maybe tko if pav gets cut up by those constant punches to his face, lol. After seein winky get dominated like he has never been before, i'm a believer now of Paul, he got my vote!
