Glad plant got a very good pay day. Set for life if he wants. I wish him a his gorgeous wife a biessed life. I thought plant was very pillow fisted and fighting scared. He looked bad against Canelo just like everyone else. He may have won 1 round or so. Canelo dominated that fight. Plant never threw his right hand as well. It was embarrassing.

Canelo only did what he was supposed to do with a lightly experienced, light fisted (only 12 KOs) belt holder. Who would’ve want that fight. It not likeCanelo had the gigantic task in front of him.

As I've mentioned multiple times, Weisfeld has become a **** judge. No way was Canelo that far ahead. He's shown multiple times that he's seeing a completely different fight than what's actually unfolding.

Couldn’t have said it better myself devil dog. That was high level boxing between two of the best in their division and a young inexperienced champion fought his heart out and gave Canelo a good fight until Canelo stopped him. By the way, you have W birthday coming up next week, I’d I don’t get to jaw with you before then happy birthday to the USMC and happy Veterans Day.

How does a guy go from 154 to 175 and not only increase his power, but has unlimited stamina? He got caught once, then all of a sudden you hear nothing about any drug tests. He is either not taking tests, taking them using someone elses piss or they are just saying he takes them but really does not. He is the face of boxing right now and if he got caught, it would literally be the end of boxing.

Look at every boxer in the history of boxing for your answer. ANY boxer that no longer has to weight drain doesn’t tire. He also uses very little energy in his exchanges. He no longer has to weight drain end of story.

After overnight marination and a rewatch, I stand by my assessment of Caleb having won 3 rounds max, with those Plant rounds all arriving in the first 4. It was also beautiful, high level boxing in which Caleb brought a great look; both can be true. I think some may be getting swayed/thrown off by Canelo looking overall less fleet of foot here than he did with Saunders, in a less graceful, more blue collar kind of performance. He came off downright stiff to me in the first 2-3. But from 5 on it was a familiar case of Canelo having the far more effective sustained aggression and bigger shots in my view. Plant looked like a million bucks in the first half in particular and continued to have beautiful moments/responses even in late rounds, but insufficient to actually secure those rounds. I feel Canelo actually had an overall more dominant performance here than against Saunders (and correspondingly Plant a bit < BJ), but in a way that on the surface may look the opposite to some. A case of Plant lasting longer, and again looking very good doing so, but having a bit less actual success than BJ in that longer window, basically just getting ****** up in the second half with counters that became less and less frequent. Plant has nothing to be ashamed of though. Overall a fairly satisfying outing from both.

It was a garbage fight but it was one of the cleanest windup uppercuts you'll ever see. Worth making a gif if you have the time.

As to Benevidez, Robert Garcia disagrees with you from one of the last times I saw him speak on the subject. He said that he feels he would take Canelo into deep waters and stop him, his body work, power and stamina is right up there and he can box when he feels like it. I feel he would get in Canelos grill and stay there all night. He'll work that body until he wears him out. I'm betting that when Canelo goes up to LH to get away from Benevidez he will follow him there and the youngster will be even stronger.

David would take him to deep waters? Lol well that’ll be the first time he’s been in deep waters whereas Canelo went there and back with Golovkin
