    What if Plant beats Canelo…

Would that make Canelo the new Loma?

At one point posters were calling Loma an ATG on here. But he’s looked at as an average boxer now.

Would Canelo get the same treatment if he were to lose this weekend?

Canelo is glorified for fighting a good competition, but he has got too many gifts already.

If he wins another close decision to Plant ( like he did fighting Lara or GGG 2), that will be just another proof how overrated he is.

Plant is nothing special, if Canelo is 1. p4p, he must stop Plant or win a wide decision.

He has only fought one great boxer and he lost the fight in a shotout. GGG is borderline great and both fights were controversial. And 3 gift decisions.

So what happens if he loses to plant?

Loma isn’t looked at as an average fighter, he’s still a lock for the HOF and a top 2 guy in his division.

If Canelo loses, it means Plant is an elite fighter, it doesn’t massively change Canelo’s standing the sport, he’d still be viewed as one of the best fighters in the sport.

            Cotto? Lara? Kovalev? Jacobs?

I’m no Canelo fan but how can you question his resume?

Just means Plant is also a great fighter i know that’s not what the haters want to hear.

They prefer “Canelo is a bum was a bum all along”

                  Last I checked Canelo beat

Mosley( great fighter) at only 20 yrs of age.
                  Cotto (Great fighter)
                  Lara(Great Fighter)
                  GGG (great fighter)
Kova(Great and a much bigger guy than Canelo) but let me guess doesn’t count because Kova was 88 yrs old right?
Jacobs elite fighter bay fall below great
Smith an undefeated 6’4 giant of a SMW
                  Saunders another undefeated elite boxer.

This has to be the dumbest thing haters have come up with yet. Canelo has proven to be a far greater fighter than Ggg on many levels.(though ggg is very skilled himself,he lacks courage to challenge himself remotely near Canelo)

If Canelo loses to Plant(highly unlikely),he would still retire an atg,& would still have a top 15 resume historically already at this point.

He will still be hated on by the usual goalpost movers who act like they can name anyone in history to go on a run comparable to Canelos over his entire career so far.(every single atg has lost or deserved to lose,& has had several close fights v unexpected fighters or lost to underdogs)

Name me a single fighter who has fought & convincingly beaten as many champions as Canelo over 10 fights, let alone from 147 to 175.
