Now to the topic Canelo lost a clear decision to Floyd but in no way did he lose “every rd” but that’s a trend that I’ve noticed folks like to rewrite history and exaggerate the crap out of it. At the end of the day Canelo was not awarded the win the way say Floyd was with Castillo a fight where he clearly lost.

cudda shudda wudda very close fights like Lara and GGG Sure but Canelo has yet to be awarded a clear robbery WIN the way Floyd got with Castillo. But you would never think that they way his haters love to exaggerate outcomes.

Reminds me of when people use to say Oscar could never get robbed yet got screwed over twice i the Trinidad and Mosley 2nd fight.
      What round did he win?

You must mean like the three dreadful Pacquiao-Bradley fights we had to endure?

The only reason I see that Canelo could be robbed is, Haymon wants Plant - Canelo trilogy. Not a bad idea.

Wow, not many here who'd say that, especially to one who has admitted to being a Canelo fan. Going off the thread title and the comments I have read so far, this is one comment I wouldn.t expect to be seeing

So. you are basically rooting for boxing on the whole to get a much much needed win here?

He hit Callum Smith at will and never rocked him. Couldn’t put a dent in Jacobs who had been knocked out before and dropped by fighters like Mora. Never hurt Cotto who had been hurt by smaller men and stopped. the list goes on.

The only fighters he’s really dropped in recent years is Yildirim who was stopped easier and quicker by Eubank Jr..and a washed up Kovalev that had been stopped twice in the previous few fights.

He’s not feather fisted of course. He has respectable power. He’s very sharp and accurate though, which makes fighters gun shy anyway.

But in terms if sheer punch power, there’s nothing to indicate he’s anything special.

i think he can stop Plant when Plant started fading, as he does.
9 of 10 times I agree with your posts, PLUS I find it hard to get down on a fellow Kinks fan as we are few and far between out here in my opinion, but i have to disagree with this opinion.. Canelo did not put either of these guys on the canvas, you're correct there, obviously. BUT, I feel you're incorrect in saying he didn't put dents in any of those mentioned names. he hurt everyone of those names during their fights and after having done so they proceeded to fight for the "moral victory" if hearing the final bell.

oh yeah, like I said, it’s more his accurate and sharp punches that make then gun shy. Even Floyd could cut fighters work rate in half because they didn’t like sharp counters coming back.

Canelo can punch, he has more than respectable power for sure. I just don’t buy into the notion he’s some huge puncher that is going to walk through plant with big shots and knock him out with a clean KO. He could, it’s boxing, but Canelo’s history in his recent years would suggest he isn’t a fighter that generally does that to people, even when he can land plenty of shots.
