Canelo’s power ain’t special. He injured BJS with a freak injury that wouldn’t happen 99 times out of 100, but when did he ever look like he could drop him or knock him out? He hit Callum Smith at will and never rocked him. Couldn’t put a dent in Jacobs who had been knocked out before and dropped by fighters like Mora. Never hurt Cotto who had been hurt by smaller men and stopped. the list goes on.

The only fighters he’s really dropped in recent years is Yildirim who was stopped easier and quicker by Eubank Jr..and a washed up Kovalev that had been stopped twice in the previous few fights.

He’s not feather fisted of course. He has respectable power. He’s very sharp and accurate though, which makes fighters gun shy anyway.

But in terms if sheer punch power, there’s nothing to indicate he’s anything special.

i think he can stop Plant when Plant started fading, as he does.

Canelo serves the hardest body punches in boxing, next to Davis. I know it's been a long ago, but Liam Smith's ribcage cracking could be heard all around the arena. Now this Canelo is even built like a tank and Plant's long body is right at level for those punches. Fight might be stopped on body shots. Canelo can crack plenty.

Lets be real, Canelo is a free agent and he couldn’t get the unification unless he went to PBC’s network and whatnot, they weren’t playing ball otherwise. So in a way he’s already had to bend to them. If Canelo wins, he goes on his way and fights whoever he wants, likely on DAZN again.

If Canelo was to get robbed, then PBC will have essentially secured Canelo for a second fight, the rematch. Ideal for the broadcaster and promoter and PBC.

It’s boxing, nothing would surprise me.
            Exactly what I’m talking about.

And with the addition of Patricia Morse Jarman I can definitely see it playing out like that.

Caleb is a Vegas transplant whose roots are in Tennessee. He isn’t really considered a fixture in Vegas like Floyd or Tyson who made it their permanent home long ago. I doubt the boxing shot callers in Vegas are going to sink a money making ship like Canelo in his prime for a guy who never headlined a PPV before and is still somewhat unproven.

Not a fan of the giner by any means but Plant aint it. Had he fought and beat Benavidez in style i might have given him a slight chance.
                  - -TBA TUE 51-0 couldn't draw flies in his Michigan hometown had all the officiating lined up in his corner for the entirety of his Vegas career that includes the last 12 years of his career where he makes his most money.

Haymon now a Vegas power broker is heavily in with Plant...just sayin' the obvious. We shall see soon enough squealing over the fight what happens, a good enough reason not to wager on boxing.

plant will never ever be a star in boxing. haymon might be a crook, liar, and manipulator but hes not ******. if haymon can get 1 more canelo fight he makes more than plant will for the next 100 years.

If Pacquiao can get robbed against Tim Bradley then I think nobody is safe from getting jobbed.

Also keep in mind that Canelo doesn’t have Golden Boy or DAZN behind him in this one. You never know.
