So? Who the hell buys a ppv event for the undercards anyways?

UFC probably. The card is stacked with great match ups.

PPV Buys are a bit tricky the ufc always adds in international buys when Boxing never does.

The crazy thing is the B side Caleb Plant will earn more than both of the main event fighters in the ufc main event. That is one thing I don't understand is people say how big ufc is when the fighters are getting paid absolute $ hit.
Who cares about that bs. Wilder has made a fortune with just a punch and a big mouth, but very limited skills, which now accounts for a percentage of active fighters. UFC just gets on with the fights, while boxers are only talking about fighting each other and hiding behind promoters. The main reason UFC was able to gain so much ground was due to boxing being diluted with so many belts that they are little more that participation trophies now.

Too many show ponies in boxing with a "I'll fight who they tell me to" mentality, when they should be asking for fights to be made. We just want to see quality fights, which UFC puts on consistently.

You're insande. You obviously don't know the history of Usman and Covington. Everyone will be watching that fight. Canelo and Kovalev fight didn't wait to do UFC a favor, they did it for themselves. Masvidal and Diaz was a more intriguing and exciting fight on paper AND in the octagon. Don't play yourself lol.

Real Fans of the sport. No one wants to sit through 4 hours of bs to see a one sided main event.

Ive been a hardcore MMA fan for like 20 years, so yes I am fully aware of the history of Usman/Colby. Its obviously a much better card top to bottom than the Canelo card, but Canelo is a bigger star than either guy and this is his biggest fight in years. The Jorge/Nate fight was different because Jorge at that time had briefly become one of the biggest stars in combat sports, and Nate is very well known too, while Canelo was on an obscure experimental upstart streaming service in a less mainstream appeal fight than this upcoming one.

Edit: More I think about it the more I am reconsidering it tbf, it could go either way imo, but it should be quite close. I dont think one is going to steamroll the other. Regardless its one battle out of a war that the UFC is very clearly winning.

Its not really a thing in boxing but the UFC has always been built more around whole cards. If a UFC PPV doesnt have at least 2 fights outside of the main event that are on the level of a solid free card main event, its considered weak. Some of the more stacked PPVs go well beyond that, last weekends card had like 2 PPV main event caliber fights + four fights that could have all independently headlined a regular free card.

That has always been my distain for Dana White and UFC brand. Their superstars get paid crap compared to what a challenger to a champion gets paid. It's absolutely crazy how these guys put up with the amount of money they get paid, but yet a Paul brother gets paid millions. It drives me crazy.

UFC PPV is going to sell more and it won't be close. Canelo has a horrendous undercard and even the main event most odds makers and fans see it as a mismatch. Other then it being marketed as Undisputed this is not seen as a close fight or intriguing fight. UFC has a stacked card with close and intriguing fights from top to bottom.
