Jaron Ennis is a very special talent but…

…He’s not quite ready for the top guys just yet IMO.

He needs rounds, more experience, he has all the tools but still has some minor flaws he needs to iron out. I fear PBC might rush this kid to the big time before they necessarily need to.

I’d like to see him face a guy like Abel Ramos or Jamal James next.

When has any quality fighter been rushed recently? These guys are monsters fighting no-hopers well into their 30’s nowadays.

They said that about a lot of fighters

let him fight a top 10 or 15 fighter first

Fighters need to be more like Teofimo instead of waiting until they're 30 before having challenging fights.

Teofimo had been tested more though, he’s had that tough fight with Nakatani, went 7 rounds with Magdaleno etc etc.

I’m not saying hold Ennis off for years, I’m just saying have 2 or 3 more fights, give him more world level experience before putting him in with the truly world class guys at 147.

It's going to have to be that way. He's not getting a title shot until he becomes mandatory.
