Actually, Dana White knows who Marquez is. Dana knows exactly what he's doing. He knows what he needs to say to brand the UFC and market it and it works. Dana may be a boxing fan, he may not be, but he knows where his paychecks come from. He's doing his job................well.

Somebody needs to tell Dana White the following:

1. Boxing at it's best can't be touched by UFC at it's best. Show me your best UFC fights n try matching that up vs say barrera-morales, corrales-castillo, etc. There is no comparison. Boxing at it's very best is still like no other.

2. The UFC's best fight can not will touch Boxing's. Pit GSP vs. Silva against Pac-Floyd and boxing will atleast double in gate, ppv, & national coverage.

3. The UFC's talen pool is ultra thin. You had Griffin get ko'd by Silva with a fade away jab? lol. There is no dominant champion aside from Silva. Beyond him it's a big drop off to your next best guy lb 4 lb. Boxing's talent pool is immense and globally crushes MMA.

4. Hey Dana, how about get some fighters with real pedigree. How about some olympic gold medalists. How about multi weight champions. How about fighters that can actual hold a title for than 3 fights. How about fighters so great that they carry their nations on their back.

5. As big & hot as UFC is right now it is nowhere near boxing globally, nor historically. When UFC does Boxing gate #'s, or does 2.4 million PPVs on a single event then tell me it's more popular. When UFC is THE main sport like boxing was in the golden years, then tell me you've reached boxing heights.

6. You pay your fighters crap, because you don't really have any great fighters. The way PRO sports works is the best get paid the most. You're selling your brand and your demographic target is white males between 16-36. Boxing at it's best appeals to the masses.

7. Boxing is the hardest sport in the world. 48 year old Ray Mercer KO'd your ex heavyweight champ within 8 seconds in an MMA fight. I'd love to see you pit any fighter vs. Any removed boxing champ in a boxing fight and see him win.

8. The most exciting part of MMA according to most fans I know is the striking. You sell more 1 round KO's than anything. Boxing shows you punches 3x harder, 3x faster, 3x sharper & 3x more accurate.

9. Until one of your fighters has an endorsement with Nike, don't compare the 2 styles of fighters.

Boxing was the center of sports in America for a reason, because at a point it was the absolute best sport. There is no reason why boxing can't clean up and get close to that level again.

UFC wouldnt let fedor compete in sambo (which is huge in his country) and other martial arts. and please dont bring in that whole 'investing in a fighter' crap because ufc guys are paid BY THE FIGHT. if fedor gets injured its on him...which i doubt because he dominates everyone.

Honestly, If I personally wasnt a die hard Hard core boxing fan...I wouldnt pay to see Mayweather in any fight. The only reason ill pay now is top see Mayweather lose by a man two weight classes lower than him...JMM.
Most sports fans not into boxing wont buy this fight on Mayweather alone. Tyson and DLH could sell tickets to all kinds of sports fans on popularity alone.
