Bullshit! It was Wilder who brought Fury out of the fucking gutter and to America by throwing him two lifelines and two bites at the apple; With two title shots at his WBC heavyweight title that he did not earn.

He actually watched the fight and still couldn't remember Wilder's name. I was going to laugh but it is actually sad that boxing has slipped so much in the USA as a main stream sport. That is also what can happen when you make a career out fighting scrub fighters served to you on a silver platter by the WBC.

I do consider anyone who calls themselves Italian-Americans the same. Same for Mexican-American or anything else. How does African-American sound better than all the alternatives, when one alternative is American?

Nobody here currently was brought against their will. They're not stuck here. I'm sure Africa would like to have educated black Americans come back and help the continent succeed. Otherwise, they should call themselves Americans and help America succeed, without the need for splitting into racial or ethnic groups from when people arrived hundreds of years ago.

If Elon Musk wants to consider himself an African-American, that's fine. If he considers & calls himself an American though, I'm more likely to be proud of his achievements and root for him. He's obviously doing fine regardless of my support, but that's just an example.

I am also proud to say that I am a second generation Italian-American who's grandfather made his way to Brooklyn, NY from Salerno Italy back in 1905. I have to ask do you believe that I should move to Italy? As for Musk he is wealthy enough to call himself what ever he wants to.

It is absolutely hilarious that you are now critiquing my writing technique. Believe me I'm much closer to the end of my life then I care to admit. And at this point if I ever so much give even one iota of concern of what folks on the internet think of how I write, spell or if I use correct sentence structure or anything else for that matter. I promise you I will load my 12 gauge myself and press it to my forehead. Just to clarify you and your grammar lessons are just not that important. As far as my opinion of you I believe that you nothing more then a straight up racist that believes that he is to intelligent for anyone to notice. I would respect Wilder if he fights Hunter,Wallin or even Ruiz next. But old Helenius who got stopped by Washington and Duhaupas would be disappointing.

Agreed. If AJ didn’t inact his rematch clause vs Usyk, then I would have thought an AJ vs Wilder for the bronze medal still would have been big hype and business for both. They type of fight that would still be intriguing and could both make huge money. Get paid more in one fight than trying to make comebacks fights and potentially keep fading. I’d watch Wilder vs Ruiz, though I don’t know how much Ruiz really cares anymore. I’d like to see Wilder cash in on whatever goodwill he has right now instead of taking a year off. Course I doubt that will happen. With Wilders punch he’s intriguing vs anyone, just not Fury at this point. I’d like to see what he could do against Usyk but that could take years to happen. I suspect we won’t see Wilder for a good while.

An adjective is a descriptive characteristic. A noun is a defining characteristic.

Referring to white Americans or black Americans or overweight Americans or thin Americans doesn't define them, it just lets you understand which group is being discussed. Someone calling themselves African-American is defining themselves as at least as much African as American.
