One thing I will say though, money has always been the motivation for like 99.9999% of fighters in history.
Yeah it may be greed but it's also a lack of confidence or a will to become an atg ..you want to make money you beat everyone's ass and keep on beating whoever steps up

They didn't have a choice back in the day when there was only one belt

But look at usyk he's cut from old cloth no matter where his career goes he isn't hiding behind a vacant belt he won he instantly wants to unify, clear out a division Then go to the next division which is actually like stepping up a few weight divisions because of the size of the top men at heavyweight and he's attempting to collect all the belts there with minimal adjusting fights

He will fight Joshua and if he wins he will be screaming for fury if he still has a belt

    That's old cloth mentality

Froch had a better career than Whyte by the time he’d beat Robin Reid. Froch had gone like 10-0 in domestic title fights, Whyte is 1-1 in domestic title fights.

Whyte’s won the British title, 0 defences, no legitimate World honours, no European honours. His career is smoke and mirrors to fool delinquents like **** Em.

I don’t necessarily think it’s a confidence thing in regard to fighters. Fighters just fight, 99% of them will literally fight anyone. It’s the people behind them navigating the safest and easiest route possible whilst trying to maximise earnings.

Don’t get me wrong, I’d like to see fighters be more vocal and demand certain fights instead of the predictable “I’ll sit down and discuss things with my team” or “I’ll fight who they tell me to”. However, the majority of the blame goes on promoters, managers and networks for me.

The argument is about willingness to fight anyone and both have shown more willingness to fight anyone than Froch showed in his career.

And if it’s about resume - AJ has a better resume than Froch right now.

          - Won 2 unification fights compared to one for Froch.
          - 12 title fights for both but AJ did it in 26 fights while Froch did it in 35 fights.
          - Fought superior level of opposition than Froch - one ATG, 3 Olympics gold medalists and a bronze medalist.
          - Olympics gold medalist and World championship silver medalist.

*There will always be an asterisk on Froch’s win over Dirrell. That fight wasn’t even close and they gave it to Froch. Giving AJ a win over Usyk won’t have been as bad as that robbery.

Froch wasn't getting manhandled through the ropes by dirrel

And you're bumming up ajs competition like he fought any of those guys in their prime

Pascal is a better win alone than any of ajs wins regardless of amateur accolades

A very real and true thread that has been brought up MANY times here--

Canelo Alvarez and Tyson Fury are the two exceptions--

Everyone else uses twitter to bait fans and market themselves and then never get in the ring-

We are just now getting bud-porter?? That's a joke they could have fought 3 years ago--

Froch got shut out in a fight and didn’t even win a rd against Ward. And that’s the only Olympics gold medalist and HoFer he fought.

Who did Pascal beat when he fought Froch? You mean the same Pascal that lost to 46-yr old B-Hop?

                  You’re a certified idiot!

Exactly! I'm starting to think that promoters are freezing out fighters that could really do some damage to the others stable..

'Em' is plural- he has enough love left over to bestow some on Dillian, it seems. Good job AJ isn't the jealous type.
