  • Has AJ fought better comp than Crawford?

I think that despite all the talk of AJs flaws, losses & weaknesses hes been quietly doing something commendable that is being very underrated. Hes been fighting all comers & the best available competition, yes hes hes 2 fights, but it's far more difficult to maintain a high level vs non stop top challengers who are avoided by others.

Meanwhile Bud has been doing the exact opposite for most his career, when he became undisputed it was because jww only had 1 or 2 other decent fighters,& top rank secured him an easy path to Undisputed vs the likes of Indongo. Since then hes gotten tons of credit for beating fighters who were as washed up or mediocre as they come, yet he gets tons of credit as if he was fighting all the top challengers like AJ was doing.(& AJ even offered Ortiz a fight he turned down)

100% yes, he’s fought better comp. He’s offered the two other top guys fights and for whatever reason they didn’t go through. But hes proven he fights all comers.

Thats why AJ detractors duck these threads.

When Danny Garcia was the light welterweight unified champion, what was the situation with Crawford? was there any talk of crawford going up to fight garcia? did garcia move up to avoid crawford who he saw coming, or did crawford wait till garcia left to move up?
i didnt follow that story at the time.

Why do people act like they don't understand - that when you are a superstar, it is easier to make fights, because you can offer guys a lot of money. And in return, you basically get everything in your favor - hometown, weight, picking the opponent you want.

Since Crawford moved to 147, he's been on the wrong side of the street. What do you want the guy to do lol. AJ's resume is carefully crafted like virtually any superstar's.

For sure. Say what you want, but AJ has for sure fought the best available in the last few years.

You really can’t make a logical comparison between fighters in the open class to pint sized fighters like Crawford. Like comparing Point guards to Centers. They’re playing a different game.

Smaller fighters are not better, they are different because the physics is different.

yes AJ fought a lot more of the top heavyweights than crawford at welter, by a big margin
