People really are sleeping on Plant regardless of the outcome I think a lot are in for a big shock.
Is it ignorance & a safety in numbers thing or do they simply not realise just how good Plant is? I have no idea but that guy is a lot better and has a far greater chance of outboxing Canelo than he is getting credit for. I actually think that guy is one of the best pure boxers in the sport right now.

In the history of the lower weightclasses, no American country bumpkin has ever beaten a Mexican at the elite level. Not especially some 20 wins, with 12 kos. Or does he have more than 20 wins? I know he has more than 20 amateur losses.

Maybe it's option C - thinking he's a little worse (not a lot) than Saunders (the closest obvious point of comparison) in all or most departments, noting that he lacks even the southpaw element of the latter that had historically troubled Canelo, observing a seeming deficit in the kind of power that would really command Canelo's respect, suspecting his chin is very meh etc, and coming by that take completely honestly?
