Honestly, if Valdez doesn't come in juiced to the gills on them Mexican steaks that he washed down with tainted roid tea when he KO'd Miguel Berchelt, then I think he gets busted up by Shakur. Probably another late rd stoppage.

It would be very disrespectful if Arum made Valdez vs. Navarette before Valdez vs. Stevenson! Stevenson has been chasing Valdez since 126! He's paid his dues, now let him eat!

If so, let him unify with Gary Russell Jr. @ 126!

You've been crying that the best fighters need to face each other and that's what stevenson and Valdez are in their division. Valdez ducked and now he's cornered. we'll see if tainted tea has the balls

There's long-term $$$ and short term $$$. Shakur beats Valdez, he takes his popularity to a higher level and can be a bigger earner for Bob down the line when he's one of the elite of the sport.

More just the financials though. Bob signed Shakur saying he was going to get him meaningful fights. He didn't do it at 126, he owes it to him at 130.

Valdez already fought the guy who was considered #1 at 130, you beat a 35 year old who was keeping the belt warm, take a back seat when you are talking about being protected.....

Shakur probably beats them all--a lefty who is very sharp & dedicated.
