I’d confidently pick Stevenson to beat Valdez.

One fight before this one we were all looking at Stevenson as the American Rigo despite showing a lot of promise early on. I only want to see him in with good comp from here on out.

He couldn't even beat the Brazilian clean when he drank his tea

And his peds were for weightloss, at him saying it makes any difference aside from him maybe not making weight. I am split on this one because Valdez is slightly more tested but Stevenson looked better.(I want to see Stevenson in with a puncher who wouldn't be 35 & a huge underdog(like Valdez) before making judgement on how far Stevenson can go.

I will say one thing though, Stevenson looks adamant in his belief that hes a true unified champ p4p in the making & wants to prove it at least to some degree. (More than many so called elite fighters can say)

Valdez is only like 30 you know man. He’s definitely still at his peak IMO.

The bold: I don't know man. I like Valdez, too, but he's not the measuring stick.

What do you think someone like Davis would do to Valdez? Seriously. I don't wish that beating on Valdez. It's not that elites are avoiding fights, it's more about promotions not working together. I'd pick Stevenson to beat Valdez. At least, it won't be by destruction.
