I’d confidently pick Stevenson to beat Valdez.

Yeah you’re probably right. What do you think his ceiling is weight class wise? 140?

Why don’t you think it happens next? No network or promotional politics both with TR both on ESPN.

Valdez arguably got schooled by a no hoper, but Stevenson was unable to ko girls & arguably got beat up by 2 girls in a streetfight where it was 2 pro boxers v girls.

Herring was awful too & its no wonder why top rank made that fight,he looked like the quitter he used to be known for too. So ppl are already heavily overrating Stevenson based off that despite him being a 9.5 to 1 favorite going in.

This division is complete garbage as its been for quite some time

Arum doesn't wanna ruin either fighter before he milks them separately. I can bet this fight isn't next.

I dunno man, that sort of BS does happen a lot in boxing but I’m quite optimistic the fight happens in 2022. Arum has shown a willingness to make these type of fights. Loma-Lopez, Taylor-Ramirez and Valdez-Berchelt are all recent examples.

And on top of that, if they don’t fight each other, who else is there at 130 for them to fight on “their side of the street” so to speak?

I’d confidently pick Valdez to wreck the featherfisted bum Shakur. I saw absolutely nothing special from him last night…he’s basically a feather fisted Broner. Both trash

Idk I'd have to think about his dimensions a bit and it depends on the landscape when Shakur gets to 140.

Why? They’re the two top guys at 130. Why not talk about this potential matchup?

Yeah that’s why I kinda don’t want to see it next tbh

shakur looked like a jr welter in there yesterday

Let him move up and see what’s at 35
