IF he's injured - even a tweak - it's the right move. If he isn't injured, it's the right move from a business perspective. But, your business ethics have to be pretty low. As Slowhand commented, getting Wallin paid is the right move in the second scenario for sure.

Hearn and Arum double shafting Wallin. Disgraceful, but this is boxing.

Whyte should NOT be made mandatory unless he fights the #2 or #3 in the division. His "mandatory" claims have all been jokes...first against Rivas, then against Covietkin, and now running away from Wallin. WBC and the boxing fans would get more benefit by ordering Whyte vs Ruiz, Whyte vs Ortiz, or Whyte vs Joyce as the final eliminator.

Let us have a real mandatory challenger, please.

Whyte-Hearn offered Wallin a fight for a voluntary defense despite him being ranked 20th by the WBC. They were going out of there way to fight Wallin in the first place and people still believe the fear angle. If Whyte were 100%, he’d be too stubborn to pull out of a fight even with the promise of a Fury fight.
Lucas browne top 10 ? That proves how pathetic whytes padded record is.

Browne is so bad he lost to a retired rugby payer in first round, in his last fight.

Rivas isn't even a heavy weight. And still dropped Whyte like a sack of crap , despite the dianabol and illegal gloves.

Povetkin put Whyte on a stretcher.

Whytes best win was against Parker who is on Dels level (11 losses) and Parker had him completely out on his feet at the final bell. Whyte and his cronies inc. Hearn tell a story of Whyte fighting real tough fights , they might be for him as he's just average with a decent dig. His record consists of nobodies and he was even wiped out by old boy Povetkin just two fights ago. Hearn and Whyte have very little credibility and if they don't show evidence of this injury they will have very little support moving forward. Hearn knows that if they are lucky enough for Tyson to give them a pay day then Whyte can't start refusing £5m or the like to fight as he did against Joshua as Fury won't stand any nonsense from the bloke his rightly calls 'a wanker'. Hearn will also find that being out of the Heavyweight scene , as he's looking likely to be he's got little chance of enforcing a rematch clause.

The first big hook Fury lands, Whyte will sit down and get counted out because he only cares about the paycheck.

I still find it funny that Fury fans do not want the Whyte fight. If you guys were so confident that Fury is the best, then why not watch him beat up Whyte? Same goes for Fury and his camp. But the fact that they are trying to avoid the fight tells you everything about them. Fury has 1 title defense and 0 mandatory defenses. Yet he is some all time great because he beat Wilder twice? No
