I cant wrap my head around this. Oscar is finished at 36, and Mosley is prime at 38

Oh yea which were those Alfonso Gomez or was it Super Zab Judah..definitely a "top" fighter of the world.

Prime Mosley would have decapitated Cotto.

No doubt. They are exciting to watch, however Cotto does as much running than any WW currently. They are excititng, but excitement doesn't win fights. Mosley also fight in a high paced brawling style, as does Paul Williams.

I actually think his fight with Oscar at 147 was more impressive. You know, when Oscar was actually in his prime.

thats more to do with the fact that Vargas, Morales and Barrera were already fighting championship calibur opponents at 21 years old. I mean, you watch some of Barrera's first championship fights(most notably against Kennedy McKinney) and its not surprise at all that he went downhill at a younger age. these guys just had so many fights early in their career, and pro fights too, they didnt get the less damaging amateur experience.

I wouldnt call Margarito shot. he got his ass kicked by Mosley, but right before that he got the best win of his career.

In Mosleys defense, Oscar passed on fighting that punching bag after declaring he wanted the winner between said punching bag and Cotto.

A Margarito win is better than beating a Prime Oscar De La Hoya? C'mon homie...

shane is far from his prime. look at his fight with mayorga and his fight with cotto 2 years ago..he didnt look good..the thing is margarito was tailor made for him not only that but there is still a cloud looming over the credibility of margarito's past wins..somebody with technical skill like cotto was able to expose shane's age. anyone that has decent handspeed and a good jab is alot of trouble for mosley, hence why im picking clottey over him..clottey is one of my favorite fighters but i know a prime shane would beat him by wide decision, problem is shane is not prime. an clottey has the handspeed, the defense punch accuracy timing and jab to disrupt mosley's rythm..seriously a solid accurate jab is like shane's kryptonite ..i see clottey stickin that jab in his facer and straight right hand and everytime mosley tries to come back with something clottey's guard will be right there to catch everything

                      As said already many times:

Mosley is not prime. Prime Mosley is the guy who beat Oscar in their first fight and owned lightweight and welterweight before Vernon Forrest.
